I don't see why Spirit gets ragged on so much. I've taken them over 20 times and never had a problem. Sure you don't have a screen for entertainment or chargers like Delta does, but sometimes it comes down to who offers competitive pricing. Delta wanted $750 pp to fly back home from Vegas. No way! I booked two of us on Spirit for less than $550 which included an extra carryon charge. The flight was flawless and the aircraft was only 2 years old.

They charge us 5 carry on bags $495($99/one carry on bags) Unexpected payment. Very uncomfortable for paying. We planned family trip …….. “It was a family trip that began with my wife’s nagging.”

For my taste, the seats are comfortable and the attendants are very friendly. My experience has always been pleasant, from check-in to arrival.

This airline is an absolute joke. My suitcase came back with a wheel ripped off and they called it “expected damage”—no compensation at all. Tried to file a claim and got passed around: chat gave me a phone number, phone told me to go back to the airport desk, desk just told me to call again. Total incompetence, zero help, and a complete waste of my time. Thanks for nothing—you officially ruined my trip.

Today I called Spirit Airlines, and spoke to Rocky. The customer service representative was very helpful and was able to move my flights to nonstops as I had originally booked, but unfortunately due to schedule changes with Spirit Airlines they were changed with layovers but today Rocky switched him back to nonstops. I want to thank Rocky very much because I do not do well with 12 hour flights when it really should only take me four hours to get to where I’m going so thank you Rocky and I did try to do your survey, but it said that the system was down so I’m placing your five star review here hoping that you get it. I really appreciate what you did for me today.

🇺🇸 Discrimination, Harassment, and an Unjust Charge – Shocking Experience I had a terrible experience on my Spirit Airlines flight from Pittsburgh to San Diego, with a layover in Las Vegas. On the first flight (PIT → LAS), I asked the flight attendant for water. I was genuinely feeling sick, with something stuck in my throat. I said: “Please, I’m not feeling well.” She responded harshly: “Wait until service.” When I kindly begged again, she coldly replied: “I don’t understand you.” She was smiling and helpful with other passengers, but not with me. It felt like clear discrimination based on my accent and English skills. There were 3 flight attendants: – one Black woman with curly hair (very aggressive), – one white woman, – and one older lady with a headscarf, who was the only one kind and respectful to me. Even other passengers noticed how I was being treated unfairly. During the Las Vegas layover, I saw that same Black flight attendant call someone on the phone, looking directly at me and describing me. Soon after, a gate agent targeted me, claiming my bag was too big — even though it clearly fit the personal item sizer. I told them to measure it. If it didn’t fit, I said I wouldn’t board — but they refused and forced me to pay $99 anyway. I even said “Okay, I’ll pay if I have to,” and they still made it extremely difficult and humiliating. They refused to accept my Discover credit card, saying “we don’t take that,” even though it’s a normal card. I asked for a manager — the rude employee said “I am the manager.” It felt like they were intentionally trying to punish me, assuming I didn’t know my rights or couldn’t defend myself because of my English. 🎥 I recorded parts of this situation on video and will upload them soon. This airline treated me with disrespect, racism, and cruelty — like I was nothing.
