Showed up to the airport on time to check in with my daughter for her Delta flight. It’s her first time flying alone as a minor, so they require early check-in with a chaperone. We made it to the counter just to be turned away and told we were late—despite there still being a full hour before her flight was scheduled to depart. This isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this kind of experience at this specific airport. The staff here are some of the worst I’ve ever encountered: lazy, inattentive, closing stations early, and sitting around doing nothing for most of the day. If you want to get to your destination on time, fly out from somewhere else. The staff at this airport are absolutely terrible. I know there’s more than one airline here, but Delta Airlines should be ashamed of the employees representing them at the Albany location. Even if you live in Albany, you’re better off driving to Atlanta if you don’t want to miss your flight. I’ve never been so disappointed in a single airport.

The airport is super small and super friendly. The only reason it's not 5/5 stars is because flights in and out of ALB are very inconsistent in terms of timeliness. Unfortunately, a lot of people contemplate simply driving to and from ATL because of this inconsistency. One of my colleagues' flight was delayed several times before he gave up

Very small airport. If you return rental car, leave in the rental car parking lot, return the key inside. Most cars drop at rental lot 1. The staff here are very nice. Facilities are very clean. It 's my first time experiencing small airport.

Today I had a terrible experience at the ABY. I told security I was wearing 2 medical devices class 1 heat wraps and they searched and touched my breasts twice and prívate parts. Once in public and the second I had to ask for a prívate room. They took multiple samples spending lots of tax payer money in testing my medical devices. I had never had a problem in any airport before while wearing my heatwraps medical devices for pain. They obviously did know what a medical device is and are not trained to treat people with dignity when they are in pain. I do not recommend this airport at all.
