Have used Southwest Airlines over many years. Always a great experience with them, they definitely train workers to be in the hospitality industry along with the airline industry. Very fair rates, friendly employees and a professional atmosphere. What's not to love about Southwest! I highly recommended this airline

it's a good airline. on time. good crew. ✈️ Update. for whatever reason, we got to the airport five hours early. we saw there were multiple flights home, so we asked if Southwest could move us to an earlier flight. click, click, click, bingo! the counter agent placed us on a flight that was about to close the door. we made it. 🛬 that was really nice of Southwest to update our tickets.

Great airline overall. Never had any complaints. However, today I was met with a rude customer service agent (3:45 pm at SJC), which I was surprised about, because usually Southwest employees are very kind, helpful, and accommodating. I was not greeted in a friendly manner. My request was to check in my carryon bag, because I have a recent shoulder injury and cannot lift it up. I didn’t mention the injury at first, and was told “there’s plenty of overhead bin space and there is no need to check in the luggage.” I had to inquire further, asking if there is really no way I can check it in, and was met with no response and a stare. I then mentioned my injury, and she finally checked it in for me, while saying that next time I should do it downstairs at the checkin area. I believe I should not have had to mention my injury to receive this service.

Like everyone I was disappointed when they stopped the two free checkin but I guess was needed to be competitive in this market on fare. Still very good airlines with lots of flight and easy move to next one or earlier one if your plan change. Love that you can always cancel ticket and carry forward without worrying to lose your money.

Great service! Pilot/ Capt. met me as I approached entrance door boarding with a genuine smile,...took my bag and placed in overhead bin for me! So kind...made my flight...on time...clean plane. .love our jewel of an airport too!

Used to feel like they are better than most airlines with the no bag fees but now they are charging 35 a bag just like everyone else which makes the whole process take longer because everybody of course is now going to try and bring luggage because they do not want to pay to check a bag. So now everything takes longer and it is long drawn out process. Tickets cost way more you give us this baby size bag of pretzels and a cup of ice 🧊. May as well look for who has the cheapest tickets and go from there. The flight attendants are always super sweet and the pilots some times are pretty funny love that! But please go back to no bag fees because what an epic nightmare please. Thank you Southwest have a great day 😊

Let’s face it no airlines are good anymore. Inflated gouging prices, cramped seating, intermittent onboard WiFi and poor rotation of onboard entertainment. It appears that most airlines are still gouging for revenue lost during the COVID years. I find that SW is no longer a competitive priced airline. Most flight prices are no different from those of AA, united, Delta etc That said, SW staff for the most part are friendly and helpful

I was a loyal Southwest flyer until recently. They were my go-to for air travel. Now with the changes to points and charging for bags, I am flying a new Airline this vacation. Another terrible thing they allow is when we flew out of Long Beach they let people board through the back of the plane. So as all of us who paid for early bird were waiting to get seated, people were coming in through the back of the lane. My family and I couldn't even sit together. Ridiculous. Snacks on lane are not good. No options.

SOUTHWEST IS ❤️ except for pre-board VIP actors I had the pleasure of flying with Southwest Airlines on my recent trip from SJC to LAX to ABQ, and Treese and Danielle absolutely made the experience exceptional. Their bright smiles, warm conversation, a little fiestiness, and top-tier customer service reminded me why I always choose Southwest. I have over 1,000,000 miles, hold A-List Preferred, and book with Southwest 99% of the time we travel. The consistency, the people, and the heart of this airline keep me loyal. I have got to say… I am very excited for the 2026 update where we finally get to choose our seats. No more stressing about the daaang pre-boarders who multiply faster than rabbits every time the gate agent picks up the mic. You know the ones that are gliding down the jet bridge like they are headed to the VIP lounge, then suddenly transforming into Olympic-level overhead-bin lifters pushing their three 40 pound bags into the bin leaving no space. Meanwhile, parents roll up with a whole starting lineup of cranky, snotty, mini-humans who instantly become “pre-board eligible.” It’s an art form at this point. We get to chose our seats, A huge win for loyal flyers everywhere. I LUV ❤️ Southwest skies!

Thank You, Southwest, for Saving the Skies from My Dangerous Fanny Pack. I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the gate agent who bravely protected Flight WN4652 today from the grave threat of… my fanny pack. Yes, while wearing it on my body, I was apparently in possession of two personal items-a threat to aviation, obviously. Thankfully, order was restored when the agent held the line and instructed me to place the fanny pack inside my backpack or I can’t board, policing me like a hawk. Ta-da! That instantly rendered the exact same items perfectly acceptable. Incredible. Truly the kind of logic that keeps modern air travel running smoothly. Now, I can sit in this flight, which had plenty seats, with my fanny pack out and about, using their wifi to write this review, knowing that I’m gambling with the danger of exposing my fanny pack. In fact, I’ll even let the fanny pack sit in the empty seat next to me. My issue isn’t the rule, but it’s the lack of common sense in enforcing it. Too many inconsistencies with Southwest enforcing the rule, where my other Southwest flights at SJC have accepted my evil fanny pack. I feel safer knowing that Southwest is out here tackling the real issues. Customer experience is second over everything else here at Southwest!
