I literally hate traveling and flying in general because of the whole process you must undergo to get to your flight. Southwest does make the process of flying a little easier. They offer 2 free checked bags, a carry-on, and a tote or purse. This is great because everywhere else makes you pay a fee per bag. If you are running late on a flight you can totally call and get bumped to a later flight, free of charge. I did run into a small problem with my luggage on my last trip. Flying from Chicago to Boston, once landed we discover that half our flights luggage did not arrive. We soon discovered they they had forgot a trailer full of luggage back in Chicago. We were assured our luggage would arrive on the next flight from Chicago a few hours later. Well Southwest had cancelled the next flight from Chicago and delayed the flight after that by 2 hours. We had to travel back to the airport to grab our luggage when it finally arrived around 1:30 AM. Frustrating, yes, but they gave me a $50 voucher to make up for the inconvenience.

I like the no-frills, not desperate to gouge you on luggage etc kind of attitude this airline has. And their cancellation policy is easily the best in the industry. Hate their open seating system, but what can you do. It's always been there.

Love southwest free bags, easy check-in. The only issue I see at the Boston location is the lack or a real line to drop off bags. Had multiple people jump the line to turn in bags instead of waiting, slightly frustrating.

I just flew southwest for the first time in about 5 years with my 2 year toddler leaving of Boston. The flight attendant approached us immediately and told us we needed to turn her DVD player off or give her head phones. I already had the volume down super low, rudest flight attendants I have EVER encountered. Especially for a family traveling with a young toddler. I guess they would prefer her to scream instead?!?!

We always are happy with Southwest. The flight attendants often still have that sense of humor that makes the flights pleasant. Justin, our flight attendant on our last flight had everyone laughing and got a round of applause. Given that flying is not pleasant overall, Southwest makes it better.
