Can be a little tough to find if you are not familiar with this part of the airport. Nice facility inside.

I enjoyed the experience. This was the second time I rented a car at this location and this experience was the best. This review is only for this location because I have had totally different experiences with other Hertz locations. Smooth and quick service on the pickup and return. I didn't wait on any lines, received an email with my vehicle location and make, keys were in the car and the gate attendant checked me out. Total time in the garage was about ten minutes.

I rented a full size car for 3 days. Car was comfortable but the cabin filter needed to be replaced. When you turned on the A/C, it smelled for the 1st several minutes. I bought an air freshener for the vehicle when I made my 1st stop. The people at the gold counter were not the friendliest as I thought they would have been because there was a celebrity in front of me . All in all, the rental was fine. I really enjoy renting from Hertz. I think there are areas of improvement for this company and especially the DCA gold booth.

My experience with Hertz was great until I was charged more than $400 in unauthorized fees after returning my car. The estimated charge for my rental was $271. This is what I was expecting to pay when I dropped off my car. Instead, my credit card was charged $686. Assuming there was a mistake, I called customer service immediately, only to find out "their hands are tied" because "according to the notes" my final bill reflects a $250 "Interior Cleaning" fee (????) and a $150 "Service Charge" (???) I am still waiting for a call back from the manager, and am happy to delete and/or edit this review accordingly if the issue is resolved. Otherwise, I will refuse payment of the extra charges on my credit card and never rent from Hertz again. Hopefully Hertz will do what's fair and right. This was very sneaky, and with so many other rental car companies competing for our business they should be eager to provide honest, trustworthy service.

While it took a minute for my car to be brought up, when it was it was: 1) Exactly the car I had requested (brand and type) This matters for time as it means I was comfortable with all of the internal controls and did not have to spend time fumbling and fidgeting with the controls. I appreciated this. 2) The car was spotless and smelled nice 3) The tank was full 4) Hand off was seamless and with a pleasant smile. Thank You Hertz for being the rental car company that I and my family have been using worldwide for over 30 years.
