Coconut Palm house 16447 Captiva Drive If this was a budget rental or if we had been trying to vacation on the cheap I might not have been so annoyed at all the maintenance issues. But when spending thousands of dollars for a ‘luxury’ rental this place fell way off the charts. The house was hot and stuffy the first 2 days as the AC must have been off prior to our arrival and it took that long for the house to cool down. The ice maker didn’t work and there were no ice cube trays available. Had to buy bags of ice. Was looking forward to using the jacuzzi, but when I saw how gross the jets were, decided on showers instead. For whatever reason, one of the upstairs bedrooms had no internet access. Then toward the end of our stay we were woken up in the middle of the night by an alarm and a flashing red light. Figured out it was coming from the septic system. When we called they said they ‘would send someone out’ but no information about could we still take showers and flush the toilets without the septic system backing up and overflowing. So overall, despite its spaciousness and all the amenities it offered, the many maintenance issues really detracted from the whole experience. I would NOT spend that kind of money on this place again. Ever.

This was our second stay at serenity and it was just as magical as the first. We love the location and close proximity to all of the activities in Captiva! The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and plenty of extras, so we didn’t need to worry about a thing! We can’t wait to book our next stay!!

I’m going to start by it takes a lot for me to give a 4-5star review. I am one who brings my own sheets and linens everywhere I go. The only reason I can not give a full 5 stars here was because there were only 2 wash rags for a 4 night stay. They did provide laundry detergent and there was a coin operated laundry unit available that was very clean. They went out and bought me a fan to use during my stay! Like that was def top notch. The place was so clean I didn’t need to use my bed linens! They had an older style coffee maker you will need to bring filters for. There was a store you could purchase at. The stay itself was awesome. I was a little irritated because they told my husband we could use the “daycation” supplies since we were staying with them, and when we went to go down there they said since we used a vacation site we would have to pay. When asked why one person told us we would get that included he responded “95% of people are told that and unfortunately that’s not correct” we were baffled by that. I would use this place again hands down! They went over the top for us and it was so clean and cleanliness is top priority for me! And no bugs!!!

Nice vacation at South Seas resort. The vacation company is always fabulous to deal with with. They make everything effortless.

Beautiful location and Captiva never disappoints. Decent, clean pool, great beach. The rental was clean and comfortable and overall had everything my family needed. As a coffee lover I'm glad I brought my own coffee press, as there were no filters provided for the coffee maker in the unit. Also, there was only one dish towel in the kitchen. The beds were ok, the twin beds in the 2nd bedroom had squeaky springs and were way too soft. But those are small complaints. Overall, a great experience.
