Worst Neighbors Ever. Besides having the worst safety record of any airport in the entire country, you have no humanity. How can you subject your neighbors to the horrific noise and danger? You truly have no conscience. It doesn't matter how long this airport has been here. The fact of the matter is the different flight paths and insanely increased volume of student flights has made this unbearable.

Well that’s interesting that all the reviews for this airport have disappeared. I wonder how they managed that? If they were all still here you’d see a trend that the airport is clearly violating noise ordinances. This has gotten completely out of control in the past couple months. It’s not so much the planes landing and departing to other destinations, it’s the constant noise of the FLIGHT SCHOOL PLANES that fly low over residential areas as far north as Lafayette and beyond, and *continuously* circle. Just check Plane Finder. So instead of a few loud planes per day it’s constant noise now, one after another. There is a noise study being done on this place as well. I used to be able to sit on my back porch, but no longer can. And no I did not “buy a house near an airport”. I’m 9 miles away The location of this airport is absolutely terrible.

Planes from Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) create persistent noise and air pollution directly over residential areas, especially in Boulder County. The disruption is relentless: planes fly low and extremely loud, starting at dawn and passing by every few minutes throughout the summer. This noise makes it nearly impossible to enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s relaxing on the porch or taking walks in the neighborhood. Despite numerous petitions and phone calls from affected residents, RMMA has not addressed the complaints and has chosen to expand its operations instead. It feels intentional and unfair that the airport’s main flight paths affect Boulder County residents, who have no real voice or vote in decisions about the airport’s operations, since the airport is governed by Jefferson County. It is unacceptable that an airport can continue to impact the lives of thousands with noise and pollution and face no meaningful consequences. When residents reach out, the airport management frequently defers blame to the FAA rather than seek local solutions or improvements. This lack of accountability and action demonstrates a disregard for the surrounding communities. The situation is extreme. With constant overhead flights, spending time outside is often unbearable. The repeated disruptions intrude on daily life and mental well-being. Airport authorities need to recognize the severity of this issue and not simply pass responsibility elsewhere. If you value quiet neighborhoods and the ability to enjoy your own outdoor spaces, be aware of the serious and ongoing impacts caused by Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport’s current operations. Adding to the frustration, the airport has launched a “Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study” meant to address noise issues. Unfortunately, this study is expected to drag on for at least two to two and a half years before reaching any recommendations. While billed as an effort to involve the community, many residents including me, see it as a convenient way to delay real change while noise and air pollution continue unchecked. Instead of decreasing flights or proposing immediate solutions, the airport holds meetings and collects input, but immediate relief remains out of reach. This lengthy process only intensifies the feeling that community concerns are being sidelined in favor of airport expansion and convenience. The airport’s disregard for the community is simply appalling.

The FAA has now confirmed RMMA has the most PSEs of any airport in the US. Do NOT take flight lessons here. Boulder County and 400 homeowners have had to sue bc flights are 10TIMES what they were supposed to be. STOP Taking flight lessons at RMMA, the country's most dangerous airport!!!

They recently changed the flight path to go over our homes in Lafayette on 287–so we have nonstop planes from 5am to 10pm. I have lived here for almost 9 years and it has made day to day life miserable for many of us. Needless to say— absolutely ATROCIOUS “neighbors” (even though this airport is not in my county nor is it remotely close enough to be considered an actual neighbor). Now with the stunning title of the country’s “most dangerous airport” with the most documented safety incidents of ANY airport in the USA. It’s only a matter of time before a plane crashes into one of our homes and causes a disaster. Those who run this airport only care about stuffing their coffers, and have zero accountability or empathy for the suffering they inflict on the surrounding communities. A literal disaster waiting to happen.

Laughing all the “Karens” giving one stars on an airport that’s been here longer than most of the homes and apartments. No one was forced anyone to live near it. It’s been open for 65 years, likely older than most of you complaining. I literally live below the airport next to oracle. Honestly, it’s 10-15 seconds of propeller or jet noise and then it’s done. Really not that bad in grand scheme of things. Living next to a busy road is more annoying than this airport in my opinion. But yeah. Funny thing that the airport gets one star for many of you who made the choice to live next to an airport.

The airport is lovely. A Bistro in the terminal, friendly staff, always clean. The schools are teaching our next great pilots and we even get occasional visits from cool military planes or firefighter aircraft! They have events to raise money for charities and are friendly to the community. A lot of exaggerated reviews about "persistent" noise. As someone who lives directly under the flight path of a normal approach to one of the runways, it's nowhere near as bad as some people are saying. Are there busy days in the sky sometimes? Of course. But some of these people must have nothing better to do than complain, or they're trying to bump their property values by review-bombing a legit community-supporting organization.
