I fly to F46 from NC to see family for Thanksgivings. I like this airport ( family is 1.3 miles away) what's not to like ! Good folks and runway / taxiway is excellent, albeit short. Just wish they had a large community hangar as my DA-40 wings won't fit in a open t-hangar.

Visited for a casual fly in with a Facebook group. It still has the look and feel of a rural airport in spite of it's proximity to Hwy 30 etc. The runway has a noticable hump at about half way esp when using 17 the power lines on the approach end of 17 make the displaced threshold important. I noticed some improvements to the open T hangers, a few concrete pads being poured, that's reassuring that the airport will survive. Runway surface is great, taxi ways good, apron fair

When I picked my granddaughter up from school today she said I really wish we could go to watch the airplanes take off and land. Of course 5 minutes later that's exactly what we did! ( She's the boss) haha We were just standing in the parking lot watching the airplanes when a very nice man invited us to sit on some benches on the porch! Super sweet of him because the wind was chilly and we only had thin sweaters on. She absolutely loved watching the airplanes! The view was alot better from the porch! To the man that invited us to sit on the porch... Thank you so so much!!! Only problem I had.. my granddaughter says, now we can go everyday! haha

I recently visited the airfield for the first time, and after landing discovered a problem with my aircraft. Kyle was extraordinarily friendly and responsive. He made phone calls, furnished tools and offered helping hands to my efforts to resolve the problem. I will use F46 again in the future, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Second visit to F46 from North Carolina to visit family. Very friendly folks and reasonable gas prices. Jimmy was particularly helpful .
