We consulted with Olja regarding our proposed vacation to the Baltic States because of her firsthand and extensive knowledge of that area. The journey included Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania , which were countries we had never visited. Olja carefully created an incredible trip. She asked us important questions about our interests, likes/dislikes, time of year, length of stay, budget and past experiences on other trips. In my opinion, all of these questions are critical when proposing an itinerary. Her recommendations were exceptional. The hotels, transfers, private guides, restaurant and sightseeing suggestions were exactly what we wanted. Throughout our interactions with Olja, she was professional, knowledgeable, forthright, flexible and enthusiastic. Shelli R. was amazing in coordinating my summer cruise with my teen and I. She handled everything flawlessly and made sure that we had all we needed prior to leaving for our cruise. Not a good experience! Communication was poor, and instead of coordinating smoothly, we found ourselves dealing with three different companies just to complete a single trip. When our visas were delayed, we received very little help or guidance — we were left to sort out the issues on our own. For a company that promotes itself as a full-service travel agency, this level of support was unacceptable. Overall, the lack of coordination and assistance made what should have been an exciting trip unnecessarily stressful. I would not recommend Preferred Travel until they improve their planning, communication, and customer support processes.
