They have a Saturday event for kids where they can explore exhibits, and sit in several real planes. The kids had an absolute blast. Aviation costumes and displays, activities. Lowkey atmosphere.
-
Kind staff, very respectful manager, reasonable parking space for transient. Clean bathrooms. Would be great if they added a vending machine too.
-
Great airfield close to everything. Decent 100LL fuel prices. Aircraft rental, repair and instruction on the field. Pilots lounge for transient pilots.

Great airfield, close to everything, fairly priced.

I absolutely love anything aviation, so you can imagine how excited I was when I crossed over the Vancouver Land Bridge from the Waterfront Renaissance Trail and found this air field! βοΈ By the time I arrived here, it was 4 pm, so the Pearson Air Museum had just closed. This simply means I will be coming back; no ands, ifs, or buts about it! I must see what's inside! Hopefully, the hangars will be open, too! Regardless, I still had a blast out in the field watching the planes take off and land. Being the kid I am around planes, I had to seriously control myself not to pass the signs that said restricted: for authorized personnel only. In walking around Pearson Air Field, I learned that it is one of the oldest operating airfields in the United States! Its history is rich and extensive, and I highly recommend reading about it. It is located within the National Historic Reserve, which I thought was pretty cool! If you are into anything aviation like I am, you will love this place and find its history to be quite fascinating. Since I will be back for sure, more photos/videos will be coming. This area rocks! π€πΌ
