We stopped by this place while on a long back roads road trip. Even though we spent a few hours here, we could have spent much longer. There is so much to see. It was quiet, not a lot of people which is nice, however there weren't many 'period' people either around to talk to about the history.

We visited for the annual Murder Mystery. It was a really nice evening. I recommend. The grounds are beautiful and the volunteers do a wonderful job.

We only had 1.5 hours to go through everything, but we still enjoyed it very much. I'd recommend allowing at least 2 hours to be able to listen to the QR code information that is available at a more leisurely pace.

Great example of period housing. We need to stop going mid-week and visit these places on the weekends so more people are there to explain stuff. I love how the buildings were condensed in one area so it was easy to walk around and see all the buildings.

My aunt used to bring me here when I was young and I thought it would be a great place to bring my niece to show her something new we had so much fun. They had people walking around dressed in the times telling us about the past and who they were and what significance they had in that time. The staff is so nice and they love showing you there trade and teaching you about what they are doing. It's definitely a cool place to take your children for a fun learning day. We didn't habe to wait at all to get in and it is very affordable π
