This is a great little airport! We flew in from the west coast so arriving and departing we came on last flight in and first flight out. Very friendly, helpful employees at those hours. The airport is small so easy to maneuver. There are a few dining options (Great American Bagel Company for an early breakfast) and plenty of restrooms and charging spots. The airport as a whole was very clean. Thank you for your hospitality!

We normally go to Richmond Airport (RIC) but we got a great deal going to Saint Thomas and had to take it up. While I didn’t like the airport as much as Richmond due to the cramped check in area and more confusing layout, I did enjoy this airport. The check in was somewhat difficult and we got lost but the rest of the airport was modern and easy to get around. Also, the staff somewhat rude to us. There were plenty of food options and parking was easy to get to.

I just arrived. Flew in from Palm Beach County, FL. Check im time is 4 PM. I called ahead and told them I am flying in - and approximately when I would arrive (11:45). Since check out time is 11:00 AM they told me it would be more likely they would have a room ready for me around 1-2 PM. That in conjunction with the fact that they were sold out last night made it difficult to have rooms ready early. But ... since I communicated with the 48 huts in advance - they had a room ready for me when I arrived!!! Beautiful room too overlooking the Navy Shipyard and the bay. The scenery is beautiful but because it is overcast - not the full impact. Ready for 21/2 days of meetings, motivation and memories (making new ones).

Great airport, easy to navigate to find your designated gate, and the staff was helpful and friendly even

My primary airport is Newark, so really any other transit hub is going to benefit by comparison. But notwithstanding that bias, Norfolk was an absolute delight and has secured a top spot on my list of domestic airports to travel through. I came through here last week on Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday evening for a quick business trip, at the tail-end of both a national holiday and a government shutdown. There were a lot of reasons to think this adventure would have been a nightmare of delays and drama, but the Norfolk aspect of the journey was one of the best parts. In some ways this is both a positive and a negative, but I'm pretty sure this airport hasn't been upgraded since roughly 1991 - it could definitely use some TLC in that regard, and the area especially by the baggage claim that I walked through reminded me so much of the dying shopping mall era from my childhood, complete with minimal activity. From some of the signage I saw and some outdoor construction, I get the impression that changes are on the way but I can't say that the outdated motif really affected me in a negative way, especially when you consider that I was here for several hours, having missed a potential earlier flight back up north by a few minutes (though it's not clear that flight had any additional availability). Had I known the timing, maybe I do a quick trip to downtown Norfolk or something for an adventure, but you know what they say about hindsight. The TSA/security situation here is probably the best I've encountered; the bar is kind of in hell with that, but I'm sure there are travelers in active therapy over the security at Newark, which always has a line with employees who look miserable. Everyone here was a delight - legitimately warm and friendly both times. Yes, both, meaning for the first and possibly last time ever, I voluntarily walked out past security after getting to my gate to go to a restaurant in the main hub area, knowing full well I'd have to get everything scanned, etc. again. Each time I was literally the only person in the security line - I was in and out in less than two minutes. Just incredible, and basically rendered my least favorite part of airport travel moot. The biggest area of improvement (and maybe this is going to come with the future upgrades I likely witnessed) is the amenities. You do have a few eating options, but the primary sit-down restaurant in Concourse B looked pretty rough and an airport employee actually recommended that I go out to the main area past security to try The Local instead. Can you recall a situation where someone working at an airport has encouraged you to go through security again like that? It's most definitely not a compliment of any of the businesses in either Concourse. This is very much a regional airport, catering primarily to the SE US. I didn't actually see any flights going out of the country but I'm sure those are vastly outnumbered by the quick flights to SC, FL, etc. Logistically it would be unusual for me to back here any time soon but I certainly wouldn't mind it.

Nice airport. Everything is clean. The greeters/assistance people in the main terminal are great everytime I've come thru this airport. They have a friendly smile, and direct you to where you need to go. The last time I was flying out in the afternoon, they had a musician playing. He played good and was a nice touch.

Norfolk International is a nice, small airport that’s super easy to fly in and out of. I’ve never had any issues flying out of Norfolk check-in and security are always quick, and everything runs smoothly. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and perfect for regional or connecting flights. I’m not totally sure how “international” it really is, there don’t seem to be any incoming international flights, and maybe one outgoing one to the Bahamas, but it still does the job well. Overall, it’s a great little airport convenient, efficient, and stress-free. Thanks for watching! ✈️😄
