July 2017. The FBO is very nice. Stopped overnight and was immediately greeted by two local pilots that offered help finding a tie down spot and then a ride into town. October 2023 update. Just as nice as I remembered it but the only downside is that the terminal is locked up at night. Seems like a GA airport would know to provide some kind of after hours access. The ramp area has just been re-surfaced and overhauled but parking is still tight with lots of local being assigned paid tie down areas. Travelers park in the spots farthest away from the terminal. Not sure why HERTZ is advertising that they provide service here as I did not see any sign of a crew nor rental car in the terminal. The manager was helpful and gave me a ride to the hotel and I must say that even though the State runs the place and charges some kind of fee to travelers like myself I did not mind the extra cost.

Found this place by accident. Pretty cool watching planes come and go. Was dying to catch a parachute coming in but not so lucky

Awesome airport. Generally pretty quiet in my experience, so it's a great place to do a few touch and goes.

First time taking a helicopter tour. The pilot was very nice and knowledgeable about the area and the history.
