We have a trip scheduled on 11/19 and found out on the 15th we could not located our passports! We live in Atlanta Georgia and location on New Orleans was the closest one to us available. We were able to get someone on the phone to help and confirm appointment made on a Saturday! On Monday 17th we were a nerve rack but employees made it easy. I wish our government employees were as courteous and nice! People everywhere in Louisiana was extremely polite. We paid for 12 hour parking at P400 location as we didn’t know how long it would take But we were in a 7:30am and left with passports in hand at 11:30am. Parking was $54 and it was a 5 minute walk to their building elevator.

I do not have enough good things to say about this passport agency!! I realized the night before my international travel that I had an issue with my passport. I made an appt for 7:30 am the next day and had a new passport in hand by 9:45 am. I was able to make my original flights, which was truly a miracle!! They were efficient, kind, and very understanding.

Passport Renewal info: I called and got an appt next day. Got my pictures at Walgreens, printed application form, printed flight info showing international travel within 2 weeks. Old passport. Cost was $190 and they are cashless, took my Visa. They are on the 13th floor. This is the only place you can get it this fast in all of Louisiana! Be aware that once you’ve given them everything, they will call you back to come pickup your passport. I got there at 9:30am, done at 9:45 and it was ready by 11am. I was told it was a very slow day though. My receipt said pickup would be at 2:30 so yeah I was lucky but everyone was very kind including the security guards who called in to let them know I was just picking up so I didn’t have to stand in line when I returned.

We found out 72 hours before an international trip that our daughter's passport did not meet requirements. We booked an appointment at the New Orleans office. I was very nervous about our ability to get the situation resolved. But the staff at the office was very understanding, reassuring, and calm. We watched the whole room and it was obvious that the staff really wanted to resolve everyone's issues. We dealt with 3 of the staff members and all were pleasant and helpful. They were able to get us a passport later that same day. We were very appreciative of the staff, their disposition, and their desire to help.

Great experience! Here's what happened: we parked on the 4th floor of the covered parking garage "P400" located at 333 canal st and paid $25 for 8 hours. We found the elevator and took it to level 1 which put us in the mall. Then we found a hallway labeled "one canal place office tower". We walked in and found a set of elevators that ran from floors 1-16. We took it up to floor 13 which is where the passport center is. (Note: there are bathrooms right outside the center but they are locked so you have to ask the security guard for the key.) We arrived early at 10:45am on a Wednesday even though our appointment wasn't until 11:30am. (FYI they close at 3:30pm) There were 6 people in line ahead of us but it only took 15 minutes to get through security, checked in and paid! We had our applications filled out ahead of time and brought along our new passport pics, our driver's license, birth certs, marriage certs, old passports and proof supporting our out of country travel which was less than 2 weeks away. We were helped by Veronica, K'Lynn and Gwendolyn. Our new passports were ready early and we received them by hand in 2.5 hours. The extra cost for having them expedited was $60 per person. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If your able to drive to New Orleans and need passports quick this is the place to go!!
