Wall receptacles are few and far between. Three of the plugs did not work. Many people looking to charge their phones were disappointed to find out that these wall receptacles were not functioning properly. The sandwich at Cafe Roux Express was awful. They charged my credit card twice for the same purchase. First they denied the extras charge, but then the manager apologized and said they will refund the extra charge in 36 hours. Before boarding I purchased a small bottle of water for $4, the cheapest I could find. Not becoming of the wonderful culture of hospitality in Louisiana!

If your driving to MSY on I-10, you need to know exactly how long it takes, and then account for weather. There was some bad weather I didn't take serious enough and I got delayed on I-10 and missed my flights check in by 10 minutes. That was a serious shock for me, as it turned out, I was stranded at MSY for the night.. You know, I started experiencing serious anxiety, as I did not intend to be stranded like that at MSY. You know, I only have a flip phone, and I got even more anxiety not knowing where to go or what to do. The airline agent pointed me to a mounted notebook computer in the lobby of concourse C to explore for other flights. You know, the public internet computer worked, but it was slow. But at least I found out the next flight to Seattle was on the following evening on another airline. I bought the first ticket I could over the phone, old school. :( Then I noticed the MSY concierge desk, and I walked up and inquired where I could spend the night. The airport staff person who interacted with me was really calming, as I was still distraught over missing my flights check-in by just 10 minutes. She sensed my anxiety and went ahead to open a hand written list of current hotels with free shuttle service connections to MSY. Because of her niceness and participation, I was able to see the number for Red Roof and I got a good rate with them, as I am on a budget and just had to charge hundreds of dollars for a one way, on the spot, ticket back to Seattle I believe her name is Suhail, and she really made my misfortune at MSY a good and positive experience (despite my circumstances) because she treated right a stranded traveler, and I only had to panic for a few moments before I encountered her, and she set me right with the overnight hotel accommodation information. I REALLY appreciated that, and my memory of MSY is a very positive one 😊 Folks there treat you right.

Look out for unpolite arab taxi drivers who overcharge fees. It takes 20 mins to New Orleans going I-10. Watch out for their excuses to overcharge.

It's a decent airport, but if you fly Delta its a little bit annoying because all flights you would take end up having a layover in Atlanta.

Unorganized, unfriendly, WiFi doesn’t work, dirty - not enough trash cans, toilets out of order and not clean understaffed TSA who are stressed and not in control of the equipment/ situation, can not handle a lot of people.
