It's gone now! The crash of the Chalk's Seaplane pretty much brought the business to a halt. But as a kid this was one of the few places we could go and watch planes taking off next to cruise ships loading with passengers who had money enough to do what we could NOT afford to do. From a photographers standpoint, this is one of the best places to photograph the skyline of Miami, Florida. The location itself is Watson Island. Developers have taken over the area, so you can't even get to the water anymore from here. Here's some photographs in case you are in Miami and want to capture your own perspective.
