Absolutely disappointed with Lufthansa’s handling of my ticket cancellation. When I called to cancel, the representative neither explained the fare rules nor mentioned the actual refund conditions. Instead, I was misled into believing I would receive at least half of the amount back. In reality, I was refunded a negligible sum, which was never clearly communicated during the cancellation process. This lack of honesty and transparency is nothing but deceptive. If I had been told upfront that I wouldn’t receive any meaningful refund, I would have simply rescheduled my ticket. Instead, I was left with an unfairly low refund and zero accountability from Lufthansa. For an international airline of this scale, such practices are unacceptable and unethical. This is not just poor customer service — it borders on cheating. I strongly urge others to be extremely cautious before trusting Lufthansa’s cancellation policies. I will never book with Lufthansa again, and I will make sure to share this experience widely so fellow travelers don’t get trapped in the same situation.

I think companies should be judged by how they handle their mistakes. Lufthansa is a big fail in that regard. Lufthansa lost our bag (presumably in Denver) on our way to Munich, at the start of an 11-day family vacation in Germany. We intended to carry on the bag, but Lufthansa sent an email the morning of our flight asking us to “please check in your carry-on bag” to help them avoid flight delays. So we did. Two months later, that bag is still missing. Lufthansa is made up of people, and people make mistakes. I get that. But be accountable and take responsibility. Again, Lufthansa has failed here. Lufthansa has not once reached out to us – we have initiated every attempt at recovering the cost of our lost luggage and its contents. And we have gotten no response from them. We’ve done our part – we filled out forms with details on flight number/date, booking code, ticket number, baggage tag number, “feedback ID” number, “Reference number”, etc. We’ve given a detailed list of the contents, and a price estimate. Lufthansa claims (on their website) that after 21 days, the luggage is considered “lost”, and we’ve done our part, but I have yet to be able to reach a live agent by phone, or get a response to an email. I intend to keep trying. The loss of our luggage means very little to Lufthansa, but it means something to us, and their reaction to their mistake speaks volumes to their customer service. Beware!

My first time being dumb enough to fly Lufthansa EVER again. Of course they loslost my bags for over 10 days, missed my scheduled events, got most items back destroyed. Nobody will get back to me to address these issues. EDIT: THEY THEN LOST ALL of my friends bags coming back to the US at the end of the trip. It’s been 1 year with no word, no apology, no update… This is fraud, widespread and they are going to pay. Fly any other airline if possible. They obviously have zero inkling of customer success.

Ticket agent rude and did not honor changes to flight for baggage after paying $500 with their customer service. Charged another $400 as they have you cornered at the airport and play the stupid game. In regards to customer service....they have call centers in India where you need to repeat the information requested of you over a dozen times. Dropped calls. Called eight times! As for the last Lufthansa flight....bathroom on board completely disgusting. Urine all over the floor, feces all over the toilet. Like navigating a sewer.

It was the worst travel experience that I have ever dealt with! Horrible!
