We used Lake Clark Air for the one night overnight package at the Farm Lodge in Lake Clark National Park. Everything went smoothly. The flights there and back were incredible scenery. Our pilot Mike was so fun and made it unforgettable. FYI, it was the most turbulence I've ever felt but it didn't phase our pilot. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and serving their customers. Our stay at the Lodge and hike in Lake Clark were awesome.

Great value if you want to visit Lake Clark (Port Alsworth) on a day trip. We did package #10 which is $630 per person and includes the flight (check in at 7AM for 7:30 departure and check in at 5PM for 5:30 return on a plane that sits 8 + the pilot), bag lunch, access to the lodge sitting and restroom area in a nice cabin, and complimentary kayak and canoe use as available. It is $60 more expensive than the other local provider, but worth it for the perks. We were also met with a concierge-type person when we landed to give us a tour and recommendations. The view on the way out was mostly clouds, but on the way back we flew through the valley which was beautiful. Would recommend for a day trip if you’re trying to see all the National parks.

They are accommodating, helpful and direct. When you schedule a flight, it's a call in Check in is about an hour and a half prior, first you write all your information on their passenger form, take it to the wonderful ladies at the counter (with all your gear) & weigh in. and you can park your vehicle for $5 a day.

We used Lake Clark Air to fly between Anchorage and Port Alsworth, and unfortunately, the experience was disorganized and frustrating from start to finish. During my initial trip planning, I called both Lake Clark Air and their competitor, Lake & Pen Air, to compare services. The representative I spoke with at Lake Clark Air couldn’t answer basic questions about flight times or prices, while Lake & Pen was much more helpful and informative. I initially preferred to book with Lake & Pen, but since they don’t fly on Sundays, we were forced to go with Lake Clark Air. When I called to book, I was told there were no early flights available—only late ones—because I wasn’t staying at their lodge. That seemed odd, so I called again the next day and was told there were six spots open on the early flight, with no mention of any restrictions based on where I was staying. The fact that I received two completely different answers back-to-back felt disorganized and unprofessional. We received an invoice that listed our check-in time as 7:00 a.m. for the flight out. The day before, I got a call saying the check-in was actually 6:00 a.m. When I asked why the time had changed, I was told it hadn’t—they just always leave around 6:00 a.m. in the summer, which contradicted the info on my invoice. On the return flight, we had no cell service in Port Alsworth and couldn’t receive any updates about a schedule change. Our invoice said 9:00 a.m. check-in, so we arrived at 8:30. The person at the counter was extremely rude and told us check-in had been at 8:00 a.m. and that the plane leaves at 9:00. The flight ended up leaving at 8:59 (on time). Even though it all worked out, It felt completely avoidable—if the check-in time changed, an email should have been sent well in advance. To top it off, a week before our flight I called to ask whether bear spray was allowed. No one seemed to know the answer. I was passed between five different people before finally getting one. It was surprising that none of the staff seemed to be on the same page about a very common question for Alaska travelers. I would not recommend Lake Clark Air. If you’re flying on a Sunday, I strongly suggest adjusting your itinerary so you can avoid using them entirely and fly with Lake & Pen Air instead.

Lake Clark air and the Lodges are operated by the Alsworth family, and I can say it is a very well run service. A bit on the pricey end of the spectrum, but what you get is totally worth it. We did the Lake Clark day trip, and hiked to the falls at lake Clark. Wish we could have stayed longer... Bonus, the pilot allowed me to sit in the CoPilot seat, which was awesome flying thru the canyons.
