As mentioned earlier, on September 19, I purchased a ticket through the “Insanely Cheap Flights” app. Initially, my Discover card was not accepted. However, on September 21, they still charged me without providing any flight information. This forced me to purchase another ticket through a different app. When I checked my account on September 27, I discovered the charge and contacted the company to resolve the issue. They informed me that I needed to cancel the ticket, which I agreed to. They also said that a cancellation fee of $250 would be applied, and this was charged to my account on the evening of September 27. Although the company refunded the initial ticket cost, they deducted an additional $312.17, bringing the total deductions to $562.17. I firmly believe that I am not at fault here. They initially declined my card, only to charge it later without providing any flight details. This is an improper business practice. This problem resulted from their system error, but I am bearing the consequences. With limited time off work, I had saved enough only for a necessary eye surgery in Vietnam. Losing $562.17 places a significant financial burden on me, and I sincerely request my bank’s assistance in resolving this matter. Additionally, they charged a total of $1,182.82 (comprising $848.87, $83.95, and $250). This amount exceeds $1,000, making it a significant case under U.S. Consumer Protection Laws. Under these laws, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) monitors fraudulent business practices. Actions such as charging customers without providing services or clear information violate fair trade practices. If the company deducted funds without providing flight details, I could report this incident to the FTC . Although I am entitled to report this as fraud, I prefer to resolve the issue through my bank. Charging my account without giving flight information is a deceptive act, potentially classifiable as fraud under U.S. law. I appreciate your attention and assistance in resolving this matter promptly.

Deceptive. The fact that the transaction is in US dollars is virtually hidden until AFTER the transaction is complete. They don't get back to you emails, their help line no longer works due to Covid, you cannot get a refund or change flights with them. False advertising that if you find cheaper flights within 24 hours you get a full refund. This also did not happen.

Buyer beware. Searched for a specific date, first option was for a different date. In rush to get my flight booked for last minute flight, didn't see the first optuon and cheapest price was a different date. My advice, verify the date prior to paying!!

Run! Don't do business with these people. Will not honor any refunds during the Corona virus. If they won't adjust for an act of nature then this is not the agency.
