Just passed my instrument checkride!! Wahoo!! Zander (and the rest of the crew) were great! What an incredible program! Certainly coming back for my commercial. Zander was excellent, chill, but proficient at and good at what he does. Was super prepared for this checkride! Thank you IFR6!!

i am not a test taker and do poorly at memorization, so i went to IFR6 with some apprehension, which turned out to be not necessary, as the IFR6 team calmly and methodically prepared me for my check ride. IFR6 is a great organization; it's clear that owner's Kirk and Laura Bray deeply care about their customers AND their instructors. My instructor, Blake, seemed impossibly young at 21, but the kid has 1600 hours, taught me like a veteran, was conversational and fun to boot! I brought my own Cirrus SR22 and was very impressed with how well the Redbird Simulator matched my controls, but also how familiar my instructor was with the aircraft. It's a wonderful feeling getting my Instrument rating and i am very grateful to IFR6 for getting me there!

I was super concerned about going all the way to SC to complete this training. There are great things about this course, you need to be 100% committed to this course, eat, sleep, and focus on IFR training. My instructor Alexander was fabulous, his knowledge of IFR is great. I brought my own airplane (highly recommended if able) and he was easily able to teach the IFR systems of my plane. Come with the knowledge you need to complete the Oral portion of the checkride, IFR 6 does a good job teaching, but let's be real, its 6 days. If you come with basic Oral prep you will be well behind the power curve, at IFR6 they are good at teaching the procedures, they are not miracle workers. Eric

I passed my instrument checkride last week after completing IFR6. To echo other reviews and comments, this is a fantastic program for pilots who (1) arrive well prepared on the ground knowledge, (2) have at least the required instrument training before arriving, and (3) are almost checkride ready. As others have said, this is not a zero to hero program. You’ll be paired up with a very knowledgeable instructor for a week and these are full training days that are quite demanding. This program is a LOT of work, but it’s definitely worth it. Would I recommend this program to those looking to get their instrument rating? Absolutely, yes.

A program is a sum of its part and IFR6 starts with owners that are incredible people who genuinely care, first about people, about the community of flying, and the quality of its services. No matter how well you organize a program it comes down to instructors and IFR6 really puts the well being of is employees upfront which translates directly into how it's customers are treated. I enjoyed my time there thoroughly and it made the whole IFR experience fun, safe, and took the sting out of the complexity and intensity of the program. I thoroughly recommend the school, the program, and the people at IFR6 and CHS flight school. Thank you for a great experience.
