British Airways is so dishonest and terrible. My girlfriend Annabelle Oboh was traveling to Lagos Nigeria. She was going to her mother's memorial service. She passed away a couple years ago during Christmas. They made the best of it and planned for a memorial later. Anna got cancer last year so no memorial then. I guess they decided to do a memorial this year to bring her family back together. They are scattered around the world. My girlfriend Anna and i where 6th in line for baggage check-in two hours before the flight. She had a layover in London where she would meet her older sister and continue on to Lagos. The counter agents were understaffed and going over everyone's paperwork with a fine tooth comb. It was an hour and a half before she got to the counter. They looked at her paperwork for a very long time. When they were done, they told her she wasn't permitted to pass through security because she would miss her flight. They then marked her as a no-show for her flight. When they did that, they voided their obligations to find her a new flight and told her she needed to buy an entire new ticket. We talked to the counter people, pulled out supervisors and managers to get her changed to new flights, offered to pay extra or upgraded to get on. They told her there was nothing they would do. They wouldn't lift a finger. They advised we go back to the travel agency. Anna used to work for the travel agency she got the tickets from. They were arguing for her and calling all over the place to fix it. American airlines agreed to get her to London but wouldn't pay for a connection to Lagos Nigeria. The next flight wouldn't be for several days and she'd have to pay for it out of pocket. Because they marked her as a no-show the matter was closed and they would not change that status. We spent maybe 5 or 6 hours at the airport and the travel agency and talking to everyone we could. They basically stole her money and now she misses a memorial for her mother who died during Christmas.

Poor dinner cold bagel breakfast on 9 hr flight. Our 2nd flight No beverages or snacks on 2 1/5 hr flight. Should not have the flight attendants cover for your poor business.

Well it's inside the airport so airport reviews apply here too. Asides that, staff at the BA helpdesk were pretty helpful too.

Very good airline, no matter if short or long haul trips

Incompetent and slow, rude on top. Be prepared to spend 3 plus hours here for something that shouldn't take more than 20 minutes
