We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for one night before our cruise out of Miami. We reserved three rooms for our family and was upgraded to a suite. The room was out of this world amazing. The other two rooms we had were also extremely spacious with stunning views of the Miami river. We dined at the bar and Grill located in the hotel for dinner and for breakfast. Both meals were very satisfying. The location of this hotel is ideal if you’re departing for a cruise or attending an event in the area. The service and friendliness of the staff was exceptional I dealt with Chris Johnson, who I believe is the operation manager, and he went above and beyond to make our day memorable I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Miami. Nice hotel, check in online easy. The driveway is on a major slope if you walk anywhere. We booked this for a night between cruises because the website said they had laundry but they do NOT. We had to walk a couple blocks to get to the Marriott to do laundry. (it was across the street but you have to walk around to the other side of the building) Apparently Marriott is nice enough to let Hyatt customers use their laundry. This is a big enough hotel to have a laundry room! We tried to take a lil tour and the doors to the pool were locked up at 8pm! Why so early? We had dinner in the restaurant & typical VERY expensive. I ordered a chicken BLT… the chicken was VERY dry. My husband got calamari… it was very good. The waitress was sweet but never came to check on us once we got our food. I had to go get the bill & ask for another glass of water… then they add a 20% gratuity! Well no wonder she didn’t bother to check on us.

Honestly, since this is the first time I personally have stayed in a 4-star hotel I was expecting more. The view and room size is good. The room is definitely outdated (essentially putting lipstick on a pig). The bathroom was small, outdated, and terribly remodeled. Difficult finding the self-parking unless you are told where to go. I used the self-parking since I don't trust valets (which I'm glad I did after reaching reviews). The hotel does not advertise how much parking is; one of the reviews stated vallet parking was $60 plus tip, the self parking is $10 for 0-4 hrs and $20 for 4+-24hrs. Additionally, each time you leave the parking lot, you have to pay each time. My vehicle ( Audi Q7) barely fit in the parking garage (6'2 clearance). Even though there are signs, it is confusing and schetchy to get from the self parking to the hotel. Most of the area is under. The room has a desk, king bed, TV, chair, vanity, etc; however, no microwave. It is a room to stay in, but honestly you are paying for the convenience of your location.

This Hyatt Regency is in a fantastic location within the Brickell section of Miami which also happens to be my favorite area of Miami to visit. Had an overnight stay here in preparation for a flight the next morning. I'd also add that aside from the fabulous location, the front desk was fantastic to deal with as well which is why I'm giving my experience 5 stars. Now on to the constructive criticism, this property is definitely in need of a refresh and hopefully this happens in the near future. With that being said, the pricing per night is extremely fair relative to the nearby, newer properties to stay at. I would certainly stay here again on business travel but would love to see an update to this place in the near future.

The room was clean and comfortable for my stay. The staff was helpful and friendly enough during my stay as well. We are at the bar and grill restaurant and it was slow and pricy but the staff were nice there as well. My main complaint was the women working at the market this morning. She was by far the rudest employee I have ever encountered. From the second I said hello to her to when I received my drink she was terrible to the extent that the other people surrounding us that heard our interaction were shocked. I had a decent experience there the morning before but will never return specifically due to how awful she was. She should absolutely not have a customer facing job.
