⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super Stay at Hotel Gurnee! The rooms were spotless and comfortable — clearly well-maintained. The desk manager was exceptionally friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Stephanie at the bar deserves special mention — super friendly, professional, and makes fantastic drinks! The owner is often on the premises, personally making sure guests are happy, which adds a rare, hands-on touch. The whole place has a genuinely warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gurnee!

My husband and I walked in and requested a 2 Queen size bed room. We asked the attendant if we can take a look at the room to make sure it wasn’t dirty. It was small and dated but clean enough. At the end of a very busy day we went to the room to get some rest and realized that our bed was pretty small for it to be queen size bed. My husband went to the front desk and ask what size beds we had and was told they were double size because the hotel DOES NOT HAVE QUEEN SIZE BEDS. We requested a room change but were told that all the suites were booked. No apologies from the staff at all. It was very disappointing. I tried calling to speak with a manager and was told they had no managers available to speak to me. I would never recommend a stay at this hotel. You get more bang for your buck over at the Hampton Inn & Suites just 5 minutes away in Waukegan. It’s updated the staff were very friendly and They even offer complimentary breakfast 🧇 Hotel Gurnee does not offer free breakfast, you have to pay.

Checked in. Room was pretty dirty. There was poop on the seat. So we went to the lobby to get a new room. Well there were wires loose and electrical sticking out of the walls. So we left and checked into the much better hotel across the street. The front desk worker was nice and let us get a refund. Just did not feel safe staying here.

My sisters and I stayed here for a night. The lobby was nice! But unfortunately our air conditioning stopped working in the middle of the night which wasn’t great. In the morning we went to the lobby to get coffee, it was pretty good but we weren’t allowed to sit at the tables in the lobby unless we bought breakfast which was kinda weird. Over all our stay was ok, looks like they’re trying to remodel a lot so only up hill.

Rates were high for the amenities.Hot tub was covered by a large wood box, and the pool closed at 9pm( early for a weekend) Carpets in the hallway were dirty. Walls are super thin and you can hear everything in neighboring rooms. Room was clean, staff were semi decent.
