Everybody loves to fly out of Burbank instead of going to the busiest airport in town; very expedited, easy to access and friendly staff, clearing security in 2 minutes from the street to the gate; I will use KBUR whenever is possible.

Small airport set in a beautiful backdrop in Burbank. For it to be a smaller airport, it can be very confusing on where to go because signage is lacking—especially when you land and you are not from here. Simple signs at, or near, the gates letting you know where to go for baggage claim and ground transportation would be extremely helpful. It can also take a while to get your luggage after you land. You have to guess which carousel your luggage will come down because, again, lack of direction and information. Once the airport improves upon its signage and information, those small enhancements will make for a much better experience for passengers.

update: August 30, 2025 After going through LAX, the Burbank Airport is less crowded! It was easy TSA precheck going through security. Not far to walk to A gates and bathrooms nearby. We grabbed breakfast burritos from Guy Fieri’s Express, which a variety of drinks, coffee, parfaits, sandwiches, salads and summer rolls. The bacon burritos were huge and filling. Full of fluffy scrambled eggs, chopped bacon and hash browns. It’s airport prices. This airport has a variety of places for food and drinks. Starbucks had the longest line. We usually fly Southwest, which had no issues during boarding. ************** We have flown out of Burbank Airport many times. We much prefer this one to LAX. The drop off/ pick up area is busy but not crazy busy like LAX. Going through security is fine. Today, the line wasn’t too long. They have plenty of spots for food/drink, souvenirs and bathrooms. I’m at Gate A2 and there were a group of employees loudly talking and laughing for about 10 minutes.

I won't fly into LAX again if I can avoid it. This airport was cozy. The TSA line was short and efficient and I heard they are building another gate. The walk to the rental cars can be a bit long but they have elevators and walking people movers to make the trip easier. The traffic wasn't bad and the major roads are accessible. I also didn't notice that the flights were any more expensive than the larger airports.

I usually don't rate like this but I've had an experience here like no other. This is L.A. but I feel like I'm in small town Georgia or somewhere in the Midwest. And yes, this us a complement. I spent 16 hours here. I took the Metro to Burbank and was confused about where the bus was that'll take me to the airport. This guy asked me if I knew about the shuttle. Then he showed me the notice on the board: call this number for a free shuttle to the airport. Sure enough they got one and it was free. I've been here before and didn't like how they did the pickup and drop-off but I found it was so convenient. Hallway was small...but short! Disappointed I got delayed by the Metro and missed the bus, I called Spirit Airlines to make arrangements. Next flight was morning of the next day. So I went for it. That means spending the night at Burbank. I just hung around the small hallway. There were plenty of electrical outlets--not not next to a bench or chairs. So I sat on the ground until a chair became available. Then I sat on my suitcase. People noticed but left me to myself. If you need to go out, there is no bus service at the pickup/drop-off. You'll have to walk out to the main street to get picked up. North Hollywood is close but...sketchy? After dinner and getting charged up, I found seating to end the night. That we where I stumbled on the only outlet next to the benches--in front of Southwest ticketing. Policeman came by and asked if I had a ticket for the next day. I showed him and he started telling me about their services, especially how the doors are locked throughout the night. I really appreciate that. I felt really safe that night. From my observations and overall impression, Hollywood Burbank is a small airport with a smalltown, hommie vibe. People here know each other and customer service is a priority. I like the plethora of outlets and the toilet paper rollers. 😀 Shows the staff like the people they work with and that customers are priority. Only constructive feedback is that the restrooms on the north said are quite small, especially if you got luggage--only room for 1 person to walk through at a time. The south end has more room once you get in. Apart from my Metro experience, I would definitely come back. Next time, I'll sleep the night before instead of the night of.

Absolutely fantastic airport! Love traveling to/from here! Always a pleasure! I just wish it was still called the Bob Hope Airport!

Very small airport but a refreshing change. TSA screening was super fast. Staff was pleasant and the whole experience was easy.

Hollywood Burbank Airport is super convenient airports, It’s small, easy to navigate, and has very quick access compared to LAX. The staff are friendly and helpful, The airport never feels overcrowded, and it’s easy to find your gate without rushing. Parking and drop-off are simple, and rideshares pick up quickly right outside. The terminal itself is clean and comfortable. Overall, it’s a great airport if you want less hassle and a more relaxed start to your trip
