1 Star, could be less.. Hawaiian Airlines: Zero Compassion, Zero Accountability I will never fly Hawaiian Airlines again. My recent experience showed me that this airline would rather hide behind “the rules” than treat customers with even a shred of compassion or accountability. Be warned: if you are not physically standing at the gate 30 minutes before boarding, Hawaiian will cancel your reservation without a second thought no matter if you’ve already checked in, paid for upgrades, in the air flying to your next flight, or made it through security. They’ll happily hand your seat even a paid upgraded one to some random passenger without charging them the upgrade price you paid. Instead of acknowledging their employees’ actions or offering a sincere apology, Hawaiian’s approach is to mock customers, dismiss concerns, and parrot “policy” as if it excuses poor treatment. It’s an easy way to dodge responsibility and avoid fixing their broken customer service culture. For anyone still considering this airline: plan to arrive at your gate absurdly early and don’t expect Hawaiian to make it right if their process fails you. My loyalty and my future travel dollars are going elsewhere.

Hawaiian Airlines: The Aloha Spirit Is Dead 💀✈️ Paid for an upgrade? Show up at the gate 29 minutes before boarding? Hawaiian will cancel your seat, give it to someone else for free, and laugh while hiding behind “policy.” Zero compassion. Zero accountability. 100% last time I’ll ever fly them.

Flight delayed 7hrs...it happens (they gave our plane to a higher priority international flight). Then the manager is salty and not giving out the meal vouchers when their website says delays over 3 hours will at least get a meal voucher. Seems the merger is driving things downhill. And why the rude staff?

🚫 Hawaiian Airlines: Never Again 🚫 Paid upgrade? Gone. Seat? Given to someone else for free. Customer service? Mocking, not helping. Policy over people, every single time.

Only bag drop area not open before 430am. They have a sign that says they open 2 and a half hours before all departures and this simply is not true. Been in line for 2 hours and they arrived at 5am for work... It is 530 and we are still waiting.

Flying with Hawaiian Airlines was an amazing experience from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff greeted us with true aloha spirit. The flight attendants were warm, friendly, and attentive, making the journey feel welcoming and relaxing. The seats were comfortable, and the little Hawaiian touches from the music to the meals made us feel like our vacation had already begun the moment we boarded.
