The busiest airport in whole of USA and for a reason. This airport is so gigantic, the 7-8 concourses are like separate terminals themselves. There are trains that runs between the concourses every few minutes. Each concourse has bunch of restaurants and shops. But sadly all of their passengers go through a single security checkpoint, so I saw humungous lines at security, probably wait time of up to 2 hours. For TSA Pre-check, it was little shorter, about half an hour. The airport is mostly clean and has good directions. The baggage claim for all concourses is in a single area that has about 8 belts. The rental car building is separate from main building. I had to take the sky train to the rental cars building. Thankfully all train riders are free. Being one of the biggest airports in the country, they have several lounges in this airport, including Delta, United and Amex Centurion. Since Atlanta is home of Cocacola, they have several vending machines throughout the airport. My most favorite part of the airport was, seeing multiple planes take-off and land side by side, since the airport has parallel runways.

I don’t know much about the city of Atlantis. I do, however, know that this is one of the worlds major international transport hubs, being the home of SkyTeam’s codeshare partner Delta Airlines. The US airlines do not have a particularly good reputation, but this is not the place to report that. Atlantis is an epicentre of national and international travel. With 5 runways and 2 terminals consisting of 7 concourses. It is no laughing matter. We did not have a long visit here, and I believe it is certainly possible we may have encountered exciting planes like the B747, though on this visit I did not encounter such planes. The airport shuttle (underground train type vehicle) was fast and efficient, with clear signage (both audio and visual) to direct you to your required terminal. I believe the baggage handling operations are efficient, as the 1h 50 stopover was more than enough time for my bag to safely make the 6 concourse journey with no issues to my knowledge. I would like to know more about baggage handling operations but not enough to look it up, but will eagerly listen if somebody is telling me at some point. I was not detained here so no stars deducted.

Very family friendly for an airport. Clean, lots of food choices and extremely helpful staff. Lots of staff in general too. I would give it 5 stars but our first plane was delayed because they let another plane stay parked at our gate for an hour and it made us miss other flights.

One of the busiest airports in the world, and it definitely feels that way. The airport is very large but surprisingly easy to navigate thanks to the airport train that connects the terminals quickly. Security lines can get long, so it’s best to arrive early, but the process is usually efficient. There are many dining and shopping options spread across the terminals, which makes layovers more comfortable. Everything was clean and well-organized during my visit, and staff were helpful when I needed directions. The downside is the crowding during peak hours, but overall it’s a well-managed airport and one of the smoothest big hubs I’ve used.

Very impressive airport! I was shocked with the cleanliness in any bathroom I used on two different layovers. There was always at least one restroom attendant wiping counters, checking supplies, directing to open stalls, etc. While the airport is large, we had no problem getting around. Everything is labeled well and easy to find what you’re looking for. When we were confused, we asked an employee who was kind and more than happy to help us. Plenty of food options to choose from, although we felt Concourse A had the best selection. The different displays of art, photos, and cultural information were really enjoyable to take in as we walked from one location to another. Trams are available if needing to move quickly or travel far, but we found walking to be no problem. I’ll definitely choose this as a layover if given the chance again!

This Hartsfield-Jackson is a massive and well-organized airport. Despite the size, signs are clear and there are plenty of staff around to assist if needed. The trains between terminals are fast and efficient, and the security moves quicker than expected for such a busy airport. There several Food options to choose from, and variety of restaurants and quick bites. The airport is so crowded, because is peak hours, but overall it’s a smooth experience. It’s easy to navigate and connect to other flights. Overall it’s a beautiful experience.

My layaway was here before I flew out to Rio De Janiero. This is a nice airport and I had some time to walk around for a bit. The first thing I did at the airport is as walk to my connecting gate. I was lucky to have a food court nearby with a McDonald. But since there was a line, I decided to go to TGIF that was nearby. I also stopped by a shop to get some bottle water.

We love flying with Delta, and connecting through Atlanta has always been a great experience for us. It’s a very busy airport—no surprise since it’s Delta’s main hub—but everything runs smoothly and our flights have always been extremely reliable. Delta also has some of the best food options of any airline, which makes long travel days much easier. The Delta Sky Clubs can get crowded during peak times, but the service and amenities are consistently excellent. For travelers with Priority Pass, the lounge in Concourse E is a great alternative when the Sky Clubs are full. Another thing we really appreciate is that for international flights, many gates use facial recognition boarding. It’s fast, efficient, and we don’t have to keep our passports out, which makes the whole process so much simpler. Overall, we always enjoy flying with Delta and highly recommend them—especially when traveling through Atlanta.

A Beautiful and Well-Designed Airport - Second Visit I recently had my second visit to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and I’m pleased to share my positive experience once again. What immediately stands out about this airport is its beautiful design and thoughtful layout. The architectural aesthetic creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes traveling through it a genuinely pleasant experience. One of the most impressive aspects of Atlanta Airport is how intuitive and well-planned everything is. The signage is clear and strategically placed throughout the terminals, making navigation remarkably easy. I found that I didn’t need to ask anyone for directions - everything I needed was clearly marked and easy to locate. For a major international hub of this size, that level of clarity is truly commendable. The airport’s planning is evident in every detail. All the essential amenities and services are exactly where you need them to be. Whether you’re looking for restaurants, restrooms, gate information, or ground transportation, the logical flow and organization of the airport make everything accessible and stress-free. As someone who has now visited twice, I can confidently say that Atlanta Airport consistently delivers a smooth, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing travel experience. It’s a testament to thoughtful design and excellent management.

Atlanta International Airport is a massive hub, and you can definitely tell so many flights go in and out of here every day. Even with how big it is, it’s actually pretty easy to figure out your way around. There are tons of different places to eat, so you’ll never run out of options during a layover. Everything has always operated smoothly for me, and I’ve never had any issues flying through Atlanta. For such a busy airport, it runs impressively well. I’d definitely recommend it as one of the more efficient major airports to travel through!
