Beautiful friendly airport with a great FBO and management. A rare combination as GA airports go.

Patches the cat will greet you in the lobby. This sweet calico has lived inside the airport for about eight years. The staff has a litter box for her and food and water. The flight instructors at Mac Air, especially Bruce the retired Air Force test pilot, are always professional and great at their jobs.

When I walked in off the ramp the two young guys were sitting there playing a video game or something and couldn't be bothered enough to even say hi as I walked in. No ride or car available as previously coordinated so had to Uber to and from the rental agency (the second Uber caused by noone apparently even there to answer or return phonecalls or messages on our departure day during normal business hours). Definitely seemed a place with great potential, but might need some "adult supervision".

Super neat approaches for both runways. Closer to runway 7’s threshold is an active road running perpendicular underneath the runway. Very nice place to fly in and out of! FYI to the pilots, runway 25 is downhill.
