Gotogate is an absolute scam and should not be allowed to sell flights. We booked a flight from Manchester to Sydney that had a connection in Kuala Lumpur, changing from Etihad to AirAsia. Gotogate gave us only 40 minutes between landing and the next flight’s check-in - an itinerary that was physically impossible to make. They clearly didn’t factor in real-world logistics: taxiing on the runway, going through immigration, collecting baggage, then transferring terminals to check in again. We sprinted the entire way, our bags came through quickly, and we even had to jump the immigration line, but we still missed check-in by 20 minutes. No one could possibly make this connection. Selling such a schedule is completely fraudulent. Because of this, we had to pay over $3000 for new flights and a hotel, lost an entire day of travel, and went through a truly stressful and upsetting ordeal. To make things worse, I’ve contacted Gotogate multiple times. Each time they pass the responsibility and say a supervisor will get in touch - but it’s now been three weeks and I haven’t heard a thing. Not even an email to confirm they’re looking into it. Avoid Gotogate at all costs. They sell impossible flight connections, take no accountability, and leave customers stranded. Book directly with the airlines - don’t risk being scammed by this company.

What a disgrace of a company!!! They should no longer be allowed to sell flights. the website is awful to use and when I finally managed to get all my details added, then click pay & confirm the flights ROSE BY €3000 yes 3 thousand euros. They obviously hope the buyer doesn’t notice and clicks confirm. This sort of thing should be illegal as it’s clearly a scam. What a joke!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!

would give them zero stars if Google allowed it. I recently booked a flight with this company, which was later cancelled. They emailed me with only one rebooking option, so I had to adjust my accommodation accordingly. I didn’t want to waste too much time arguing about refunds or alternatives, so I accepted it. However, just a few days before the new flight, I realized that my 23kg baggage allowance had disappeared from the updated ticket. I initially thought it was a system error—after all, who would expect to travel on a 10-hour international flight without any checked baggage? Since I had purchased priority customer support, I contacted their service team. That’s when the nightmare began. The first agent told me that my baggage allowance was not listed in their system and that they were unable to add it. When I explained that I had already paid for it and asked how it could simply disappear after accepting the rescheduled flight, they told me it was due to their terms and conditions. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing—it felt like a scam. They completely ignored my concern. I asked how I could add baggage back to my booking, and they told me to contact the airline myself. Shocked but wanting to resolve it quickly, I did just that. The airline confirmed that I did have a 23kg baggage allowance, and even questioned who told me otherwise. They stated clearly that all passengers on that flight were entitled to 23kg of checked baggage. Confused, I contacted Gotogate again and informed them of what the airline had confirmed. Despite this, they insisted that I had no baggage allowance. I asked how I was supposed to verify something they clearly got wrong, and they repeated that I should contact the airline—something I had literally just done! When I explained this, they ignored my question and instead asked, “Is there anything else we can help with?” This exact conversation happened five times with five different agents. The last one even asked me to provide a written statement from the airline, which was absurd since they should already have access to my flight details. Frustrated but determined, I obtained the written confirmation from the airline and sent it to them. They said they would “get back to me soon.” Three days passed—nothing. When I followed up, they shamelessly changed their story, claiming they hadn’t done anything wrong and that they could only provide what was shown in their system. Even then, they still didn’t issue me a new ticket with the correct baggage information. When I asked for one, they said they were “unable to update their system.” A travel agency that can’t provide an accurate ticket—what a joke. I requested to escalate the matter to a supervisor, but they ignored me. After several more attempts, one agent finally said I would be contacted within 24 hours. Unsurprisingly, no one ever reached out. When I followed up again, the next agent denied that any such promise was made. I showed her the screenshot, but she claimed that wasn’t her and refused to transfer me to anyone else. She said I could file another complaint, but there was no guarantee anyone would respond. Until now, my flight information in the system still shown as “no baggage allowance “!!! This entire experience has been unbelievably frustrating. Their customer service is incompetent, dishonest, and shameless. The whole company feels like a black hole that destroys your mental health.

I booked a return trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Couldn't travel, so cancelled. First leg was non refundable, but got a voucher for the return leg. Thing is their system decided to create a virtual email address they claim is to protect my privacy, but yet won't allow me access to the email to get the voucher details. Their help desk claims they don't have it yet, yet I know it got sent immediately to their stupid virtual email address, as I have the voucher code but the pin is in the email message. I doubt I will get any assistance from them, judging from their dismissive and condescending attitude. I DEFINITELY don't recommend their services.

After getting to the end of a booking and entering payment details they inform of a sudden price jump. This agency GO TO GATE and MY Trip are running a scam! Also they will charge for choosing seating when it should be free according to the airline. Go with Booking.com instead. Free seating if so from airline and transparent pricing.

Scam! Avoid this company at all costs! I paid £100 extra for a flexible ticket, which was supposed to allow free changes. Now they want another €100 to change the flight. What kind of scam is this? Their customer service is completely useless – no reply to emails, the contact form doesn’t work, and there’s no way to speak to a real person. I feel robbed. I trusted this company with my money, and they’ve done nothing but lie and ignore me. Never again! I will report this to my bank and share my experience everywhere. ✋ If you’re reading this – DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING with GoGate. They take your money and then disappear.
