Avoid this company! We rented a car for a graduation at Lackland Air Force Base. The initial process was fine, but things quickly went downhill. When we inspected the car and took photos of certain imperfections, employees were clearly annoyed. Later, I discovered they added my signature to the supplemental liability insurance that I had verbally declined. I had clearly told Gregory J. I was covered through my insurance and credit card, and he assured me there would be no charge, yet I was billed anyway. The same thing happened to my father-in-law. Trying to resolve it was a nightmare: hours on hold, transferred between departments, and finally told nothing could be done because “my signature was there” even though I only signed once for the main contract. Save yourself the hassle and spend a little more with a reputable company. Avoid Fox Rent a Car at all costs.

I had such a great experience! The car rental process was so easy from pick up to return in San Antonio! It was fast with excellent service. Both gentleman on Monday when I received the car and when I returned on Tuesday were fantastic. The young lady at the counter was also prompt and explained everything in detail. No issues and I would absolutely use this car rental service again!

The majority of time we rent from fox rental but we had a bad experience with the check out agent. He wrote us bought back not full tank which that was a big fat lie, am to precautious returning the rental with a full tank to say; we drove off with not a full tank there was a gap between the F and the next notch, which i would return back full. Another thong the agent circled a tiny chip on windshield I saw a spot thinking it was either dirt or wet spot, I took a picture of the vehicle where the tiny chip was already there when we drove off. Also, we were charged full price for fuel at the counter. Which i did not want that option was told it will be deleted once returned with full tank and well you already read what happened. Overall, the picking up is awesome easy to get

My fiancé and I pre-booked an economy car in advance online, however when we arrived to pick up the car we already paid for, we were informed that they did not have any economy cars available, and we would have to upgrade to an suv. And for their mistake, we would be charged for the price difference for a suv, which would bring our total to almost double what we had already paid. They were also extremely adamant we get their insurance, though we already had our own. Since we refused to pay this crazy amount for a car we should have already had, we were left to fight to get our money back from the booking website and carless. The prices look nice, but it is a bait and switch!! DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Good rental place, decent price and good cars. Staff are good and wait times can be long but are mostly manageable. Rented with them like 8 times now and counting. Good experiences with every one of those, for the most part. Not all of the vehicles pictured came from here but most did. Some of the 4 runners may look like a duplicate picture, but every picture is it's own separate vehicle. If you really are curious then I'll tell you the Hyundai Tuscon and the jeep compass were not from here but everything else was.
