Small historic replica of the original fort. Excellent exhibit on the origin of the French and Indian war with a particular emphasis on the role the fort plays in the conflict. Lots of info about Washington during the war and then later during the whiskey rebellion. Wonderful introduction video made by a local teacher/historian. The labels were very well written. I particularly like the section about the difference between collecting and archeology. It described the problem with collecting removing objects from their historical context and diminishing their historical value.

We visited the Bedford Pa fall festival. It was great. There’s so many things to see. Many venders were set up showing their crafts to sale. I bought several things for the holidays. It’s a good experience and I hope to return in 23. There’s a craft beer place at the museum which is very interesting. Go if you ever get an opportunity.

Curator George was fantastic. Very friendly and super knowledgeable of the area and the history of the time. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a stop in.

What am amazing little museum. It's bigger on the inside than what it seems. There are good quality pieces on display and and it's well done. Good information not only on the history of Bedford, but personal stories that are very touching. Great museum to visit

I visited Fort Bedford Museum in August of 2020. Yes, it took me a while to write a review, but just started writing them a few months ago. Fort Bedford is a very nice place to visit and learn about Historic Bedford during the French and Indian War. Highly recommended.
