The recording would frequently say they had a high call volume and then hang up. Here's how to get around that: call from a Career Source center. They pick up within minutes. Yup. Within minutes. Keep in mind one other dirty trick they play: after 30 minutes they shut off their audio so they can't hear you, but you can hear them. Had this twice.

Absurd delays in receiving benefit. Totally unacceptable especially when all other financial resources have been utilized while looking to get another job. Filed claim back in May 2025. Still no payment. I contacted my Florida house representative (Dr. Anna Eskamani) 1 week ago to initiate a congressional inquiry on my behalf. I suggest everyone else do the same. follow up every week like clock work until you get what you need. Just remember house representatives support state level issues (i.e. Florida Commerce) and senators support federal issues (i.e. FEMA) I contacted my senator as well Carlos Guillermo Smith for the heck of it and played dumb. My senator's team was kind enough to reach out to their liaison in Tallahassee to inquire on my behalf as well. Its been a week since I got my elected officials involved and I can see that I am getting follow up calls from Florida commerce about my claim albeit not without confusion as they don't seem to know whats going on with my claim as they ask me more question about my claim than they have answers (SMH). Seem no one that called me knew what the other one that called has done or said to me. I'm asking them don't you all use the same system of information? Doesn't seem like they do. Then they get a attitude on the phone when you observe and comment that it seems that they don't know what the heck they are doing. Its great to write a bad review but they don't care. Most the people that work at Florida Commerce are doing so until they can find a better job. Get the awareness you need by reaching out to your elected officials and requesting a congressional inquiry to your issue with Florida Commerce!

On top of not wanting to have to rely on this department to help me in a time of need, this whole experience has made everything worse. From staying on the phone for hours just to hear the same thing , down to each representative seeming like they have no actual way of helping me and stick to their robotic replies. I am better off just talking to the actual machine again. I had submitted my claim on June 4th 2025 and was told to wait 6-10 weeks for the adjudication process. 12 weeks later and I still havenβt received even an update or status change to my claim. It is in the same βreviewβ process that itβs been In since June. Iβve had to start ubering to try and survive and now they raised another issue about that. Am I being penalized for the absolute lack of punctuality from this department? Abysmal service all around.

Yes, it has been a little stressful at times to get through the customer service number and Iβve had a couple times where Iβve had to re-upload documents but as far as the Customer Service agents go, they are all phenomenal. Every single one that Iβve spoken to has been helpful. They have helped me even with step-by-step directions on how to either get back into my account or to assist me with whatever I needed at the time. Not sure why they have such bad reviews. Itβs not the workers fault regarding the wave of system is set up. As far as the actual customer Service representatives, they are all great. Thank you all I wish I could name you, but I know itβs usually a new person when I call you are appreciated During my difficult time. God bless.
