Eva air was the only airline that I chose whenever I booked a trip to Southeast Asia for vacation. Friendly staffs and great services. Their food was alright. Their airfare ticket was cheaper than comparison to other airlines.

Customer service is non-existent. They do not answer the phone at all. If you need to make changes to your flight you have to go to there to the office physically. 0.0 stars for EVA customer service.

EVA is the best airlines i have ever tried. Very good meal and excellent service will impress you, and most important of all, they have the cleanest toilet top of other airlines in the world.

Experienced Traveler: I just got off of the route from Houston to Taipei BR51 and BR52 (777-300 Variant) and I wanted to share this summary of the overall experience. In all Eva Air is a dependable company that does care to do the right thing. My biggest gripe was the electrical connections at your seat. We weren't allowed to use power banks, so they provide a single USB-A connector to charge your phone. Mind didn't work. It would show power and 3 seconds later switch off. The same thing happened to everyone in my row and ahead. They were all worn out from a decade of constant service. To stay ahead, I brought a wall charging block and plugged into the A/C connector under the seat. However, one had to gently twist the plug to get any connection to the electricity, BUT then you had to HOLD it in place to KEEP the power. My next solution was using my laptop. The connection was the same when using the laptop. (FRUSTRATING!!) Finally, I had to throw my laptop charger plug up to the lady in the row ahead to plug in my laptop so that I could use my own USB chargers and get some work done. To Sum Up on the Electrical: The plane is older, and the cheap plugs that they used in the economy section were worn out. The long The experience during the 13-to-18-hour flight: The seats are a little tight to fit and too hard to sit. The all-important entertainment selection provided is average to poor. Entertainment: The movies were limited and have a heavy Asian mood, which is fine, but they could have had a lot of older classics to balance out the list on the cheap. None of the music was recognizable to me. Again, the music seemed to be recent unknown pop music (boring, light music with an artistic record cover). And again, there was no funk, R&B, R&R, no themes, no philharmonic that they could have gotten on the cheap. The games are all but nonexistent. Even solitaire and Tetris-style games would pass the time. Kids entertainment: There seemed to be enough kids' stuff to keep them busy for one leg, but maybe not enough for the ride back home. I did like the program that watches the flight progress from end-to-end - lots of detailed information. The food cooked in the Asian port was too sweet, but you can supplement with the sandwich of the day. The service was prompt and standardized. Luggage was treated well. Boarding and getting off was well organized and comfortable. Carry on rules were generous and reasonable. Restrooms were clean and available. I felt safe with a reasonable amount of attention for the entire time during the whole experience. OVERALL: I was bored and frustrated that I couldn't plug in my electronics. I was lucky enough to find a plug for my laptop in the row ahead of mine (thank you lady!). I will definitely pay the extra step up in price to the competition next time for the extra comfort and dependability of the overall experience, if not unreasonable.
