I cannot express enough how valuable my time in Australia this past August was with the National Association of Black Social Workers. The trip from Sydney, to Melbourne to Uluru was just the way it was supposed to be with a rich combination of experiences rooted in black culture. We met The Original People in many facets from community centers, resort staff, advocates, social workers and artists. I am thankful for this first REAL international experience outside of a cruise and the Caribbean! If you are interested in learning and experiencing what the continent really offers this trip is for you. It changed my life perspective and placed it in proper focus.
