Easy and quick access to downtown Denver. The station is accessible from the baggage claim level just outside the south entrance. A one-way ticket was $10.

Opening in 2016, this station is the Eatsern Terminus to the young RTD Commuter Line, known as the A-Line that is similar to the SEPTA Airport Line into terms of rolling stock and proximity to the airport. Compared to SEPTA, this airport station connects you to all three stations, and for 10 dollars, you can take the other RTD light rail trains, commuter trains, and busses all for one low cost that should not be elaborated about, considering how much a steal it is. The train conveniently will prop you right at the Jeppensen Terminal, and will give you a gateway to enter into the airport in the security area. If you need to check a bag, there is one caveat I shall convey. The escalators will dump you into the TSA Screening area. This means that you will likely have to go upstairs to check in with your respective airline. Which is what I had to do to get secured on my flight. Overall. Traveling from Downtown Denver to the Denver International Airport is an affordable jaunt that will save you lots of money on a rental car if you are residing in the area, and also works too for locals, saving hundreds in gas money to travel in the process.

Easy, affordable and fast access to Denver. Last stop is downtown Union Station.

FYI, kids 18 years old and under can ride for free. Easy way to get into the city, all day pass is only 10 dollars with airport pass. I wish I had known about the kids riding for free before I purchased the tickets, hopefully this information can help someone else.

Emmanuel, my African brother working the security booth at DIA, either didn’t know how the lost and found process works or just didn’t care. I came to pick up my bike, which I was told was being stored there, and even with Mike from train security trying to explain to him what to do and who to call, Emmanuel just stood there saying, “We don’t have your bike, man,” while glancing around like it would be sitting out in plain sight. I kept telling him I was directed to DIA to get it, and I was sure it was there somewhere. But he didn’t put in even the slightest effort to check or ask around. I ended up having to leave the bike behind so I wouldn’t miss my train, something that could’ve been avoided if he had just taken a few minutes to actually look. Emmanuel, if you ever see this, I hope you take this as a learning moment . At the very least, learn where the lost and found storage area is and try to actually help people next time. That’s part of the job. The 5 stars are for the dispatch team and the train security who helped track down, secure, and return my bike to the station for pickup. Everything would’ve gone smoothly if Emmanuel had done his part.

The Denver RTD Light Rail is the best way to get to and from the airport! Have friends park and grab a bite at Whole Foods at Union Station.

Twice now I have missed my train because the station doesn’t update / posts the wrong train departure times and which train will be leaving first. Sitting on a train to see the one next to you leave, because no one has updated the time schedules is really frustrating and causes further delays.
