For such a small lounge, I have to say I really enjoyed it. I typically end up at a different club when I'm at DTW so this is my first time at A18. I really enjoyed the friendly service, and the view of the tarmac is rad! The only problem is that the seats with the best view get really warm during sunset, so be warned. It is August though, so maybe it isn't as warm the rest of the year.

Highly recommend going to the SkyLounge at gate A38 if you want a bigger selection and more room. Nothing necessarily negative with this one, just very small and limited is all.

Secondary Delta Sky Club at DTW (Gate A18). Small and functional, with a friendly staff. Note: A18 Sky Club is literally a mirror image of A68 Sky Club at the other end of the Terminal. Both are half the size of the main Sky Club in the middle. Considering that Terminal A is about a mile long, it's very convenient that Delta has open three to cover the terminal. Standard amenities you should expect: 1 Coffee Station 1 Water/Tea Station (w/light snacks) 1 Self Serve Full Bar (grab the bottle and pour what you want) 1 Hot Food Station (similar food served at all three Sky Clubs) Access via escalator at A18, or take an elevator. Same level as Sky Train. Layout is a central walkway down the middle with seating nooks on both sites. Mainly assorted chairs (many are worn), but also a business nook with several semi-private desks. Very friendly staff (typically 2 on duty) Safe Travels!

There are three sky club lounges in terminal A. This was not full when I arrived. Otherwise, you will be turned away if club is in full capacity. Great place to reset. Detroit airport is a big airport.

It exists so that’s something. They have a thing called vegetable fried rice. The “vegetable” is some slivers of carrots. The rice is steamed. It’s never seen the inside of a sauté pan and is the furthest thing from fried. A squirming pile of maggots has more in common with fried rice than this dish. The meatballs make my high school’s meatballs look like 4 Star Michelin meatballs in comparison. But hey, it’s free and they have bottomless M&M’s and good drinks. The people are friendly. Just don’t expect anything other than the most insipid and uninspiring food
