DELTA IS THE AIRLINE OF CHOICE! On our recent long-haul journey to see family, we needed to source and later use flight credits. Many of us must change flights, especially for family exigencies. We depend heavily on flight and reservation systems these days. Having worked on the SABRE Flight Industry System years ago, Delta’s online customer management system is one of the most advanced in aviation today. It’s precise and handles flight credits quickly and accurately (unlike almost every other airline). Delta was keen some years ago to purchase its own oil refining system to cut fuel costs. How ingenious! Moreover, Delta remains one of the safest and well-maintained scheduled airline fleet worldwide. It’s’ acquisitions, and partnerships allow its’ clients to reach almost anywhere in network. My 40 years with Delta has been a reward. Try a Business Class Fare if possible, and enjoy that ride!! From excellent on-board comfort, ticket agents on phones and in airports; and Flight Attendant service to Delta’s Pilot talent, it remains a calming event when we can board a Delta Jet. Used to have a better opinion of Delta. This trip, however, had been a nightmare. From leaky hydraulics to rescue flights to not one but TWO rebookings that were out of my control and one flight of mine that closed the boarding 5 minutes early.. flight was 805 and was speed to close at 755 but was closed at 749.. ( plus I witness 3 other groups affected by the same thing on other flights, one that closed boarding a full 10 minutes early... wth?) Then they keep overbooking flights and bumping people... It feels like they're just messing with people on purpose. I ended up with an overnight layover in ATL due to the delayed flight because of hydraulics and the rescue flight being delayed by weather... and had to talk to 3 different people to get them to comp me a hotel like i was originally offered. I was also supposed to get a food voucher but the people in ATL were not trying to come up of one of those.. wth is the matter with these people...

Just had an embarrassing experience 🙄. Just got on my 2nd delta flight for the day. The female flight attendant stopped me in front of everyone boarding and told me she had a problem with my top (bc again no one else has said anything about it the entire 5 hour delta flight before this or while we were in the airport at any time) she then begins whispering to the pilot about my top and then asked me to get off the plane and find a shirt. Mind you im currently handicapped with a boot on my foot and several bags. The pilot I could hear saying "its up to you" so she's now in my face trying to explain how she's Just a messenger and this is just policy 😒. I tried to ask if i could just use my blanket and stay covered up if it was a problem she said no and asked me to get off the plane broke foot and all. My family were confused as I was getting off the plane so I told them plainly "she has a problem with my top" which she began copping please saying "its not me its the pilot im just the messenger" 🙄. CAP (All skin folk ain't kin folk as they say) so I'm like yeah whatever and proceed to look for a shirt in the middle of the the jet bridge and getting re-dressed as everyone is trying to get around me. Then to add insult to injury...she calls airport security on me !?!?!?!??!?! I did what she asked let her embarrass me before I even got on the plane and she calls security on me like im a danger! So now they have flight police sitting with me and a security officer telling me to de-escalate myself bc they're in fear of what I might do??? Meanwhile im just sitting in my seat with mismatch clothes on trying to eat my Panda Express! This is the worst experience I've ever had in my life ! I will NEVER fly delta again. This whole experience was completely embarrassing and for no reason what so ever...!

My recent experience with Delta has been nothing short of a disaster. I had three back-to-back delays, missed two crucial connecting flights, and received absolutely zero support or empathy from their staff. It felt like no one cared just cold, robotic responses while I scrambled to rearrange my plans again and again. To say this disrupted my schedule would be an understatement. Delta cost me valuable time, energy, and peace of mind. I now associate their name with stress and anxiety; I honestly get a pit in my stomach just hearing "Delta" after what they put me through. And it gets worse: on my leg out of Atlanta, I looked out the window and saw a visible tear in the aircraft tire. How is that even allowed to happen? It made me question the safety standards entirely. I’m actively moving my next 3 upcoming Delta flights to any other airline. I refuse to take another chance. This was beyond inconvenient, it was borderline traumatic.

Had the best flight with Delta from Atlanta to Cape Town this Friday! The crew (especially Angela and William) were phenomenal and really made the experience. The seats were more spacious and comfortable than most airlines, and the bathrooms stayed clean throughout the flight. I’ve had mixed experiences before — with Delta and honestly with most airlines I’ve flown — but this one truly left me smiling. Delta’s amazing staff definitely stole our hearts!
