Just completed my checkride after flying with Elevate CFIs for the past few years. I’m now a certified private pilot. All the instructors are great, but I had a particularly wonderful experience with Raul. He is extremely smart and cares very much about every student. He’s the third Elevate instructor I worked with and he’s by far the best. He does everything right, focuses on the details, and helped me with everything necessary to pass the checkride. Lots of texts late at night and early in the morning. Look forward to continuing with IFR training. Brand new Cirrus SR20 is amazing to train in.

I have trained with Elevate since last year. It has been an awesome and fun learning experience! I had my private certificate prior to furthering my training with Elevate. There are definitely other schools out there, but many just cycle through most of their instructors who are young, less experienced, who are more focused on their own ambitions and time-building—not necessarily focused on understanding the needs of their clients and helping them become as proficient and safe as possible. I was more interested in having instructors who genuinely loved teaching, took their time, we’re safe, and highly attentive to the details—thereby teaching beyond the minimum requirements per the ACS. I choose to do my training in the cirrus because of its overall safety, newness of the equipment, and top notch avionics systems. Previously trained in a Cessna 172, 152, and 150…and no comparison there! My goal is to go corporate, and this was a great school to complete my instrument and commercial training with. I started out with my Instrument Rating with Dean Jones. I highly recommend him for his expertise, years of teaching experience, and attention to details while instructing. He is easy to work with and couldn’t ask for a better experience or instructor for my instrument rating! I felt thoroughly prepared for the check ride on both the oral and practical test and passed the first time around. I worked with Taylor Woodall for my Commercial Pilot Certificate and again felt that the training was top notch and that I was prepared for the oral and practical tests—which I passed the first time around as well! Also had many other great instructors step in when needed—(Nick, Madalyn, and Teya) all of whom are just as top notch as the rest and provided high quality instruction. This is an excellent school with excellent instructors…again, who teach for the love of teaching and want the best for their clients. It’s been a pleasure to work with them all! Wow! What a great experience I had yesterday with Elevate and Wyatt Mohr my instructor pilot. I was in Park City on vacation with my family and thought (since I don’t ski) how awesome would it be to get a couple hours training in the cirrus while in town. Keep in mind this was Thanksgiving week. I left a message with elevate with my request and less than 24h later I was in the air training. It was an amazing time and I can’t thank them enough for going out of their way to accommodate a student pilot in his journey of becoming a pilot. Thanks Wyatt for your time and supper helpful instruction. I’m discovering that “cirrus life” really is more than a saying on letterhead.

I was referred to Elevate by my Cirrus sales rep and was told that there was no other way to learn to fly an SR-22T then to work under a CSIP (Cirrus standardized instructor pilot). I started my first 5 hours at a small flight school in Spanish fork and then transferred to Salt Lake to continue with Elevate. The professionalism was a night and day difference. I was called by the owner and discussed what I could expect in my training before taking delivery of a new SR-22T. The next day I received a call from my designated instructor Nick. We very quickly started training in the schools SR-20. I enjoyed my time working with Nick. He offered truly world class training. Time and time again I’m told by high time pilots that my flying, radios, and overall knowledge is far ahead of where they would expect a pilot with my experience. I also completed a lot of ground training with Micah. Not only was he excellent during lessons, but also at home. I would text him very late at night while studying with questions and he’d answer almost immediately. He would also make an effort to instruct me on the topic during our next lesson. He prepared me for my written which I received a 93% on my first try. Overall I was surprised with how much I was over prepared for my checkride. My oral exam was a breeze and my practical exam was easy as well. Elevate is truly a world class school. In no way do I regret my training with them and I highly recommend anyone considering working with them to do it, especially if you will be a cirrus owner. There is no other way. I plan on sticking with them all the way up to my CFI.
