If you’re a private pilot do not fly here. BJ is one of the most rude and unprofessional ATCs I’ve ever heard. 3 planes in the pattern and he acts like a JFK controller, berating everyone on the frequency for the most minor details or for not understanding his lingo. More stress than it’s worth to fly here. Plenty of safer and more friendly airports to fly into in Houston.

We landed to the Reserve ramp, so I didn't get to see much of the airport, but, the towere controller was on fire 🔥 getting after it on a busy Thursday afternoon. He had us laughing.

I had an amazing Discovery flight. My Instructor Mo was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I'm officially enrolled as a student!

The tower goes out of its way to flex their authority. They are openly hostile. Avoid this airport at all costs. Edit, the only saving grace for the airport is the "American Flyers" flight school. They are an amazing place to go learn to fly!

My son (the baby of 5) flew me to this airport for a special Mother/son luncheon. It was the most memorable special day ever! And when we arrived and everyone was so nice, helpful and accommodating. I was just happy to be flying with my son as I held back tears of joy when we took off from Cherokee County for a Mother's Day lunch. I was never expecting to be taken to a place with such kindness all around and the facility was emacculant everywhere I looked! Every comfort and convenience a pilot could hope for. Then we went upstairs to the Black Walnut Cafe to have lunch and it got even better! The food choices and prices were great! I ordered the center cut sirloin and happy to say it's one two best steaks I've had. Seasoned just right and grilled to perfection, tender and juicy. I'm glad my son took me here it was a perfect spot for a special memory for this Mom. A great facility with great accommodations, great service and good people.❤️I hope to return some day.
