We visited Italy with Collette Tours, and toured Tuscany and Umbria. It was a 5 Star experience! Everything was extremely well planned, the hotel selection was fabulous, and the program very well done. It was the perfect mix of sight seeing, culture, education, and local impressions. Our tour guide Luca, together with our bus driver, was very, very knowledgeable, and they provided an excellent tour experience. The restaurant recommendations and selections were spot on. We always felt independent and part of a great tour. Collette Tours is the very best way to travel in a tour experience.

In 2024 I took two Collette trips and had a wonderful time! I recommend Collette for travelers who are looking to learn and be active while touring new destinations. The Canadian Rockies by Train tour in Fall was beautiful. My Collette Tour Manager, Clare Martin, was amazing- knowledgeable, kind and very organized. The itinerary was so much fun and the hotels were great. We spent a lot of time outdoors, exploring the national parks, lakes, mountains and towns. Banff & Lake Louise were stunning! The food selections were varied and incorporated a lot of local flavors. There was a fair amount of down time if you do not elect to partake in the optional excursions. Sunny Portugal in October was the perfect time to go. My Tour Manager, Jose Eleuterio Alves Nunes Ferreira, ensured our group saw the best of Portugal! He was able to surprise us with live music and wonderful local treats each day. The optional excursions for a cave and grotto boat cruise as well as the Fado night were exceptional. I enjoyed the Algarve the best, but our itinerary was outstanding. We even had a picnic, on a mountain side, with a bread making demo. On both trips, Collette used brand new Mercedes Benz motor coaches with excellent drivers. We were kept safe and well attended to the entire trip. From the hometown pick up transportation to the airport to the flight scheduling, all our needs were met. I cannot recommend Collette enough! You’ll have a wonderful time, eat plenty of local food/drinks, and meet many fun loving individuals while seeing the best sights.

If you’re looking for a worry free group travel experience, Collette is perfect! You’ll be picked up at your door and taken to the airport. When you land at your destination, one of their professional tour managers will meet you at the airport. From there, you will be part of the highest quality tour company. They take pride in taking care of their travelers and creating memories in each location. Have loved every tour!

Very disappointed with Collette travel. My wife and I just got back from our tour. Shrines of Italy tour. October 20 to 31 2025. We booked this trip over a year ago. This was supposed to be our trip of a lifetime.It wasn’t. We will Never book with Collette again. We booked it with Jake and I told him that this was a trip of life time for us. Let’s get started with the navigate experience we went through. First thing the transportation they supply is a zero star. We got to Rome Italy and very hard to find the driver and we had to walk at least half a mile away to the car through airport and cross streets and rain outside with no help with our luggage. Each one of us had to lug 1 check in luggage and 1 carry on luggage and a backpack. Sorry but that is not door to door service. I am handicap that was not pleasant. We stayed at 4 different hotels throughout the tour and we always had a problem with our hotel stays. Like things didn’t work or rooms weren’t comfortable and small. They also said dinners were included. Thinking we had maybe two or three meals pick from. No Way you eat what they are serving. Also they say one drink included with dinners. No just wine I don’t drink wine so I had to pay for my beer. They also say in the Vacation Documents that the walking in the tour would be about 3 miles per day. NOT TRUE AT ALL. My wife wears a Fitbit and it said we walk around 5 to 6 miles. Unbelievable how many hills and stairs we had to deal with. We had a group of about 42 people and at least 6 of us including me had a VERY hard time. We kept saying never again doing this again. This is not for the older people and handicap people. We had 2 GREAT Priests in our tour. Father Pierre from Florida and Father John from Carolina. Father Pierre was always in the back to make sure that we were all together. And poor Father John had to stay back on some of the tours. because it was too much for him. I also emailed our Tour Manager before our trip that I was handicapped and that I would be slower than the rest of the group. She replied and said that we would go at a slower pace. Again Not True at all. Thank God for Father Pierre waiting for us slower pace people. We become very great friends. He’s a Father from Heaven. To end our trip at Logan Airport in East Boston They said the car would be waiting for us again Not True. Had to wait for over a hour and again and walk more to try to find the car and driver. I called Collette about the issue that we went through. Got nowhere. Talk to a supervisor name was Jill. On Friday November 7 2025. I asked for a compensation of something. For our trouble on this tour and NOTHING. Just a 200 dollar credit for a further tour. So NO Way. Never again I will ever Book with Collette tour again. I also mentioned about the rude driver in Rome Italy. His name was Mario. Not a nice guy at all. And about the issue at Logan Airport. Zero. Her answer was that we did receive the service. So No compensation at all. I know that this was very long message. Sorry. But please think very carefully before booking with COLLETTE. This was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime. I had a very disappointing experience with Collette. The food throughout the trip was consistently poor—bland, repetitive, and far below the standard advertised. The accommodations were unacceptable on multiple occasions. During the safari portion of the trip, we were placed in an unfinished building that had constant animal noises. While distressed by these conditions, I suffered a fall—something that could have been avoided had we been accommodated properly. Collette’s response was inadequate. In Zanzibar, the situation was no better. Instead of the promised seaside hotel, we were placed in an old, noisy property far from the beach and of very low quality. It was so unsatisfactory that we had to pay extra to transfer to another hotel just to salvage our stay. For the price and reputation of Collette, this experience was unacceptable. Poor food, misleading accommodations, and lack of proper support after my fall left me deeply disappointed. I cannot recommend Collette to anyone seeking a safe and quality travel experience.
