We booked the Dog Sled Tour with Glacier Landing, and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our pilot, Jeff (I hope I remembered that correctly!), was fantastic, calm, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. The helicopter ride itself was breathtaking, and the landing on the glacier felt surreal. Once on the glacier, we were greeted by our musher, Stuart, who made the dog sledding experience such a joy. The dogs were full of personality, some goofing off, some laser-focused on the trail and we couldn’t stop laughing as Stuart guided them with humor and expertise. After the ride, we even got to spend time playing with the puppies, which was the sweetest surprise. What really stood out was how many wonderful people we interacted with along the way. From the ground crew helping us gear up, to the staff at the camp sharing stories and answering questions, everyone made us feel welcome and added to the overall experience. What made this tour extra special was learning about the history of the dog camp and the lifestyle of mushers. It gave such a unique perspective beyond just the fun of sledding. If you’re considering this tour do it! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that combines stunning scenery, incredible people, and the most lovable dogs. Coastal Helicopters made the entire experience seamless, safe, and unforgettable.

Wow wow wow!! I was a little hesitant to book because of the price but I’m so glad I did, it was the highlight of our entire trip. Cody was our pilot and we couldn’t have had a better one! He taught us so much and really made the trip extra special. I hope to one day be back and will absolutely book this again! The helicopter is pretty small so you are packed in it like sardines. Your seats are assigned based on weight balance so just a heads up, you could be sitting between people you don’t know. Fortunately our group of 4 stayed together but I wanted to share should that change your mind. One person in the group was also slightly over the 250 weight threshold and we were fine/not Impacted. Book the tour!!!

Yes, it is pricey but most excursions in Alaska are. This one is worth it. If you’re wondering if you should go, do it. This was the most memorable experience that we had the entire trip. As the helicopter is flying into the mountains, you might find yourself tearing up from the natural beauty of Alaska. Our pilot was fantastic. He was funny and I believe he gave us the best tour that was possible. We got to walk on the glacier and drink the glacier water. Most of all, we got to soak in the jaw dropping views surrounding us. Bring an empty water bottle for each person on your trip and bring warm clothes and gloves. HAVE FUN!

This is a once in a lifetime experience that you cannot pass up when in Juneau! The staff from the moment we were picked up to drop off were incredibly professional and friendly and it was clear that safety was the top priority at all times. The helicopter ride to the glacier is surreal as you’re overlooking the mountains and glaciers, to then land on top of a glacier the size of Rhode island! Once we arrived at the dog camp, Pete was our musher and he gave us an incredible experience! He shared with us all about the dogs and how well they are taken care of. He was friendly, professional, personable, so knowledgeable and FUN! This is a must-do experience!

4 of us took this coastal helicopter ride to the Juneau ice glacier. It was truly spectacular and my favorite excursion while in Alaska. They gave me treks to walk with, so I didn't need my cane, and spikes for our feet, but I was very unsteady. The 2nd helicopter pilot came over and asked if there was a reason I was not venturing. So after talking, he helped me walk to special spots on the glacier to hear and see the water flowing down below. It was incredible! All employees at this establishment were wonderful! I highly recommend this excursion. Definitely once in a lifetime experience to walk on and see ice glaciers up close. Also, the helicopter company shared the parking lot with the small Juneau airport. It was great to view the Juneau sky from the helicopter. We went right over Mendenhall Glacier and God Nugget Falls to get to the ice glacier. The experience was breath taking and so rememberable.
