Aimee has helped my daughter get to the next level in skating with her off-skates training. We started working with her in August. her customized workouts were exactly what my daughter needed to get to the next level. Her strength and flexibility have increased dramatically since she started working with Aimee -- she's now landing doubles that she couldn't get around before. She also stresses health and planning for a long-term career. After my daughter got injured, Aimee's immediate reaction was that she should not do the stretch that was causing pain & should see a dr. It was very helpful for my daughter to hear from a coach (and not her mom) that if the dr. says she should rest for two weeks & not skate, she should do what the dr. says :)

We happened to get Aimee Ricca by chance when we signed up for semi-private lessons at SportsCare (formerly Aspen) in the summer of 2019. Since then, in part because of Aimee's support, my daughter has fallen in love with skating and has become a competative figure skater. Aimee goes above and beyond for my children as my second child is beginning this fall. Aimee is a true teacher in every sense of the word and she treats my children kindly, with respect.

I found Coach Aimée by a simple Google search with zip code: "ice skating coach 07405". Her approach with dealing with my (then) 7 yr old boy was quite impressive. She was, initially, very patient until establishing a rapport with him. My son now looks forward to meeting with her knowing that he'll be a better skater at the end of each session. Over the last 2 years, his improved skating ability has given him an edge with regards to making the upper tier hockey program at our local rink. In other words, he made the team because he skates well, not because he has upper tier puck handling & shooting ability. Most of the time, we’ll do a 1/2 hour session once a week. On occasion, I’ll book a one hour session with Aimée, like today, just so I can watch my son get “tortured” while I write this Google review. To recap, I’m quite pleased to have found Aimée and I’m more than happy to write this favorable review on her behalf. She works very hard on catering her program to my son’s abilities. As a hockey dad, it’s wonderful to watch him grow and progress, all the while knowing that he wouldn’t be where he is without Aimée’s help.

Coach Aimee is a great teacher. My daughter loves her classes and she is making excellent progress.
