I absolutely had to write this review because of how indebted and grateful I am to the employees of this agency. Every single person I interacted with was so kind and patient, from the security guards at the entry, through the line, at the upstairs door, and at the counters. Not only that, but they are doing it currently without pay as we are mid government shutdown. I was treated respectfully at every step and received my urgent travel passport in one day. A special shoutout to Alyssa this morning, but also every other person whose name I didn't catch. I'm so, so grateful to everyone working there. If any employee reads this, please know your kindness and efficiency means the world to me, and thank every single person in the office and security line and building on my behalf.

Wow! A federal agency with such amazing service? I need passport quickly due to an urgency of my travel. One phone call later I had an appointment scheduled, arrived with all the documents and received the passport the same week! Impressive customer service, friendly people and organized process.

I really wanna make sure I leave this review, one of the first federal buildings that I walk into and everyone from security to personnel, no matter what authority, allowed me to feel very comfortable and was able to get my expedited passport with ease, a few days to be exact. Just one grumpy security at the very beginning, but because of everybody else’s effort, I forgot he was even there. Thank Chicago Passport Agency Personnel, keep up the good work and I hope you all see this review, God Bless America, you and your loved ones.

Just a note that if you need a new passport and your travel date is more than ~3 days out, the staff will insist on having your new passport mailed to you via UPS 3-day shipping. This shipping cost is not included in your fees and you'll have to pay ~$22 out of pocket. This was kind of annoying since this policy wasn't made clear ahead of time, and the cashier lady said "it's just $22" like it's a trivial amount and that I should've expected this going in. I'm pretty sure that others waiting in line who needed their passports tomorrow were able to simply come back in person to collect their new passport without paying additional fees.

Alphonso at Chicago Passport Agency went about and beyond helping me getting me and my kids the U.S. passports. Fixing my paper work and making sure I was able to get in to my parents country Guatemala. I had first requested the Passport ID and he notice that Guatemala country only accepts the booklet passport and took all the lead and work himself to make sure he gave me what I needed for me to be able to get into the country with my kids.
