Great airport. The runway is in really good shape. Great place to take students to get non-towered experience. Local pilots are friendly on CTAF. The FBO is nice with nice and clean restrooms. The fuel is a good price too.

Great airport and FBO. Good fuel prices for AVGAS and JetA. Crew car is one of the best around. Skydive Castroville is really cool and Bryan is great. Easy access to the Loop and good food.

FBO was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had 2 crew cars available. Ended up buying a plane based at this airport from out of town. Pete, the airport manager who's also an A&P, was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and helped it go smoothly.

2024-05-31 I visit KCVB regularly. This FBO is stellar! Clean facilities with 24 hours access, spacious separate bathrooms for men/women, shower in the men's bathroom. Comfortable pilots lounge with couch, recliners, TV. I've spent the night in the lounge more than once after arriving late in the evening. Two courtesy cars; most restaurants and WalMart are within 2 miles drive. For eats, go downtown to Luigi's Italian. You'll thank me later. Airport staff Pete and Harrison always eager to assist. Very friendly and knowledgeable. No fees for overnight ramp parking. I highly recommend this airport for transient stops. Fuel is among the least expensive for 100 miles, and an easy drive into San Antonio without the hassle of airline or military air traffic. 2023-04-11 Flew to Castroville from Del Rio to attend the San Antonio Missions minor league ballgame. Two courtesy cars on site. Great AVGAS price. Comfortable FBO. Management was hospitable and accommodating. I'll be back again in the future.
