Cute little airport but super annoying hearing the loud planes literally next to me driving in this area. Should've been in an area with way more land and not many buildings around it

Wonderful airport - well kept, professionally operated, with friendly people involved. I can also confirm that the one-star reviews are almost entirely the product of a deranged individual. He chose to purchase a condo positioned 2,500 feet from the end of the runway and now seemingly dedicates his life to complaining about airplane noise and slandering the airport. To be clear, loud jets don't operate here - air traffic here is almost exclusively limited to small Cessnas that weigh less than a Mazda Miata and have engines similar to Subarus. Quite quiet, in comparison.

I was invited to fly out of here on a small aircraft and it was quite an adventure. They offer flying classes here. Airplanes and gear may also be stored here. The airport is within a convenient drive to Ann Arbor and Detroit.

Please ignore the 1-star reviews. That guy is either really bored or has mental problems. He's well known among the pilots. Been flying out of here for years and got my pilot's license from the flight school located here. The runway's a bit short for anything bigger than a single-engine, but there's a nice, familiar and relaxed atmosphere around the airport. Very laid back and informal with minimal government BS.

I’m not even sure where to start but Jim, the airport manager and also an IA, and Sean, the IA who attended to me when I had my first serious AOG issue are my heroes. They got me fixed up right away and went so far as to tie me down, then untied me and brought my plane to the self-serve for very reasonably priced gas considering the location. I’m forever grateful for the people at this airport. If you can land here, support this place. There’s food within walking distance, Enterprise drops cars off, and Ride-share via Lyft and Uber readily available. Thanks a ton. Mark C. N38912
