    Recently American Airlines (which we always fly) changed our flight home from France to Boston to British Airways. WHAT A DISASTER!!! BA was the WORST!! Flights were delayed and making our connecting flight was near to impossible!! Then, we almost were not allowed on the plane for reasons unknown to us. We did get on the flight but they LOST ALL OUR LUGGAGE!!! UGH!!!! This then caused us to miss our connecting bus to get home so we had to wait for the next bus! NEVER have we experienced this with American Airlines! It was over 48 hours before we received our luggage. GET IT TOGETHER BRITISH AIRWAYS!! I hope to NEVER be forced into using your airlines again!!!!

    Due to fly to Newark but delayed by an hour due to a fault with the aircraft. Once onboard a further delay was announced due to the jet bridge not being able to detach from the aircraft. After another hour we finally left. One hour out of Newark , we were put in a hold which lasted three hours due to a thunderstorm. Flight diverted to Philadelphia due to the storm. We spent about 4 hours on a taxiway waiting for a gate to become available as the airport had closed and was full of diverted aircraft. Original arrival time into Newark was 14:55 , by now it was 21:30. Cabin and flight crew were excellent and did everything possible to keep us comfortable. Due to the time spent on the aircraft , half of the toilets were out of order, water was running out as were snacks!!!!! The aircraft Captain actually said he was embarrassed and ashamed to have to leave us with no help. No assistance for onward travel from British Airways was provided , in effect leaving us stranded late at night over 100 miles away from New York in the wrong city. Rude and totally useless ground staff in Philadelphia wearing BA uniform were an embarrassment to Britain as they did not want to do anything to assist with sorting out the problem. Cost s of hotels were spiralling and with no help from the staff we were left to sort it out ourselves to arrange onward travel to New York. Too late to book trains so a taxi was the only option. BA first of all said that reasonable expenses would be met but have now backtracked on that by saying Β£20 per person for meals, reasonable hotel costs with cheap onward travel all to be arranged by us. Did the two hour delay on the ground at Heathrow contributed to our late arrival to Newark where we would have arrived before the storm started? Cost of taxi to final destination was less than values Captain and email quoted as equivalent compensation. We finally got to our hotel at 0130 the next day. Thank you for your service BA. Trying to get anywhere with the customer service team is nigh on impossible. If you are suffering such a large amount of complaints take on more staff and have a good look at yourselves.

    British Airways is awful. I've flown with them twice and both times my flight arrived over 1 hour later than scheduled. Missed my connecting flight both times and their customer service representatives refused to provide accommodations on both occasions. I cannot stress enough how awful this airline operates. The saving grace was American Airlines (connecting flight we missed due to British Airways) was awesome and provided us with a hotel. If I ran American Airlines I would terminate my partnership with British Airways because they absolutely suck!

    I had a flight out of Heathrow yesterday and British Airway was a mess with the way they handled the flight. At check in (3 hours before the flight) the flight BA0181 was not listed on the departures and the person at the counter said it would be added in 30 minutes. They told us the airport floor and section to wait in and we sat there looking at the departure screens for over 2 hours with no idea when or where we were going. Then 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure it pop up on the screen with a gate number far from where they told us to be (we needed to change floors and take a train) with the status "get to the gate". We got to the gate, boarded and they closed the door and we sat there for over 2 hours, just so they could say they were "on time departing". The copilot was landing the plane in Newark Liberty airport and missed the runway so we had to circle the airport and try the landing a second time (another 30 plus minutes). We then sat on the tarmac again for another hour before exiting the plane. I used to love flying British Airways but I would fly a discount airline before them again.
