Excellent excellent facilities how frequent to the airport at least once a month when I was with the Virginia defense Force aviation battalion headquarters I live approximately 3 mi to the north and I'm in the flight pattern I get to listen to all the aircraft coming in on my scanner and I am a ham radio operator K4BKT general class at Patterson's Store area on rt 609

I was here in 1973 for a week with the BSA learning how to fly airplanes. I was 16. I passed the written pilot exam there and flew a Cessna 172 around the area. The pictures show it hasn’t changed much in the 52 years since. The Army hosted us and treated us very well. Great memories!
