Did a Northshore Scenic Lighthouse flight with Ryan Mecklenborg at the Beverly Flight Center and he was fantastic. Ryan was knowledgeable, safety conscious and the tour was fabulous. We saw the beautiful north shore with all its salt marshes, lighthouses, harbors, including Marblehead Harbor with the Boston skyline in the background. We were even lucky enough to see our house from the air. It was a trip I will always remember and treasure. Thank you!!

I enjoyed my time here, but don’t come here during the summer and maybe year round if you care about progressing. It’s impossible to get scheduled, with cancellations for wx I was flying once every two weeks. I don’t know if they need more CFIs or more airplanes but you simply cannot learn here over a reasonable amt of time because there is minimal availability.

I had the opportunity to go to different flight schools and I can personally confirm that Beverly Flight Center is an outstanding flight school. The staff as well as the instructors are there to guide you in your training. The fleet is very well maintained and the service is of high quality. you know what you are spending your money on. I got my instrument rating 3 weeks ago, and now working on my commercial license.

I had the pleasure of training with Ben Eramo at Beverly Flight Center. He truly puts his students first and it’s clear he loves teaching. Ben always reminds you that everyone makes mistakes, but he uses those moments to share the wisdom and knowledge he’s gained so you become a safer, more confident pilot. His patience, passion, and dedication make him an outstanding instructor, and I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned from him. Plus…he’s a funny guy! I enjoyed every lesson with Ben and I would Highly Recommend the opportunity to have him by your side.

I trained at this flight school in 2023. A valid driver’s license is normally required for identification, but when mine expired, I felt the school treated it as a sign of irresponsibility rather than an administrative issue. This was part of the reason they eventually removed me from the program. I sometimes struggled with aviation English, since it is not my first language. Aside from being told to ‘listen to the radio’ outside of flying, I didn’t feel I received structured support or guidance to improve. As a result, I often felt my mistakes were interpreted more harshly than necessary. During my first solo cross-country flight, an ELT unexpectedly activated. I made a precautionary landing, which I believed was the safest option since the activated ELT sound was extremely loud and made it almost impossible to hear radio communications. Although the aircraft issue was outside my control, I did not feel the situation or my decision was viewed fairly in the aftermath. This review reflects my personal experience. I invested over $20,000 in training at this school. I hope the school continues to improve communication and support, especially for international students or those learning aviation English.
