We flew in for lunch. Some of the best burgers and onion rings I've ever had! Well maintained facility with great fuel prices.

What can be said other than this is a fantastic little airport! I was in a group of 6 DA40NGs visiting KLFK for the week, and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The fuelers were always on time and would fuel the fleet before we arrived each morning upon request, and offered great conversation in the fuel office. The airport itself has an excellent diner on site, as well as an outdoor picnic area complete with a charcoal grill. They also offer a small cash system refreshments area, a pilots lounge with comfy seats and TV, and 2 courtesy vehicles. The property itself is beautiful, especially the drive in. And, the airfield has recently seen a renovation, and has some of the smoothest runways and taxiways (minus the weird reflectors) in the western world. Super great place and people, I hope to return!

I had been told my so many people how the hamburger at the Angelina Airport is the best around. So i had to finally try it for myself. I got the cheeseburger all the way. Didn't add anything, didn't take anything away. One word DELICIOUS!! It comes with a bag of simple Lays potato chips that compliment it so very well to my surprise. The burger is huge and I thought I was not going to eat it all. Once you take a bite, you would be a fool to leave some for later. Nice thick patty and not greasy at all. The route into the airport is a winding road with trees all on the side. Its a very nice route. Its nice to be able to go to the little restaurant and watch the planes come in and out as you enjoy your feast on a bun. 😋

The airport has a nice layout. The trees at the end make it a fun approach in the wind. The FBO was nice with friendly staff. Fuel prices were fair. The fuel truck arrived less than 1 minute after calling. The restrooms were in good working condition and clean.

Angelina County Airport is staffed by the greatest bunch of guys. And the restaurant there serves a great breakfast and burgers for lunch. You won't go wrong by stopping by.
