I usually don’t write reviews, but my experience with American Airlines buying miles was awful and I want others to know. I purchased $500 in miles to buy a $500 ticket because that was supposed to be convenient. What followed was weeks on the phone being bounced from agent to agent like a hot potato. After multiple transfers and long hold times I finally reached the last representative — who was rude and bluntly told me they could not help. After years as a loyal customer I expected flexibility or at least a clear, fair resolution. Instead I lost $500 worth of miles and got nothing but poor service and dismissive attitudes. Bottom line: buying miles from American Airlines was far less valuable than using a credit card reward option, and their customer service and refund flexibility were unacceptable. I don't think I won’t be flying with them again.:/

Hello, the employee that was calling out group numbers was incredibly rude and unprofessional to another customer and her father who is disabled and on oxygen. My biggest complaint is that the Hispanic older female employee who came afterwards to help during boarding instead of professionally and amicably informing us that we were in the incorrect line with multiple other people behind us, she insisted to talk rudely to me and my husband. I’m very quiet and calm but she was so rude to the point to where I felt threatened. I looked at my husband and she stated very loudly that I was rolling my eyes and was being very angry and the male employee didn’t even dare to step in. she had us check in our carry on bags but now I’m afraid that they’ll disappear. I just came back from a funeral to have to deal with employees like this! This is very upsetting and I want to elevate this. I never complain about airlines but I’m very upset over this. She was rude to ALL of us instead of being polite and just professional. I didn’t yell or anything so she had no reason to treat me in such a way. Me and my husband are both medical professionals and even on our worse days we’d never dare talk to others in such a way!!!

I don’t understand how the last 3 times I’ve flown my unaccompanied minor from this exact terminal they have let both me and his mother go with him to the gate. Yet this time, Dominic didn’t allow us both to go for whatever reason. He must not have kids 🤷 since it’s at the discretion of the agent and he just shrugged us off… even with my son visibly upset. He needs to check his attitude. Come on American Airlines, do better. I paid $300 extra round trip in unaccompanied minors fees, which is more than the ticket itself - the LEAST you could do is give both parents a gate pass to see him off on his flight. Worst customer service ever. I’ll probably be flying delta for my son in the future because Delta has always let us both see him off at the gate - no questions asked. He’s 10 and is already uncomfortable flying alone - he wanted us both there and you made an already traumatic experience even more upsetting and traumatic. Thanks a lot Dominic. At least while I’m sitting here waiting in the parking lot I have lots of time to write my review.

Julio with American Airlines was so unbelievably helpful. My boyfriend and I had missed our flight and he made the rescheduling such a breeze and he very politely answered my million anxious questions! Very attentive, very organized, very efficient!

I was running late due to traffic and then an accident on the freeway. I stepped up to the Agent telling her I might miss the plane, only 32 minutes was available. She told me to step back in line then took a little 90 to 120 second stroll. Most other Airline Agents would have accomidated me. Then she had the nerve to tell me to calm down after asking will I make it to the Gate on time. I got to the plane 5 minutes before the door closed. The walk to gate 141 was crazy long at LAX. I'm almost 70 yrs old.
