It’s easy to focus on the frustrations that come with air travel these days — delays, lines, and the occasional inconvenience — but every once in a while, a flight reminds you why it’s all worth it. As I flew from Flagstaff to Phoenix, I looked out the window and saw the city lights stretch across the desert night — an incredible view that words can’t quite capture. Those moments, suspended between the earth and the stars, make you realize how remarkable it is that we can travel across the country in a matter of hours. Thank you, American Airlines, for helping make experiences like this possible. The flight was smooth, the crew was kind, and the view from above was truly awe-inspiring. Sometimes, seeing the world from a higher perspective is the best reminder of just how extraordinary our modern world really is.

Paid a fortune for a last minute flight to get to a funeral. American cancelled our flight out of Tucson and rebooked on a flight that would dump us overnight in Chicago and get us out the next morning. We called and they said if we would drive to Phoenix they could get us to our destination that night. We get a ride to Phoenix only to find that our flight is so delayed that we will arrive at our destination airport after the car rental location is closed. So instead of an overnight night in Chicago we have to pay for a hotel in Pittsburgh. Now I remember why I don’t fly American Airlines. Southwest would have cost more for this last minute flight but they would have gotten where we needed to be.

On September 30th, I had one of the best experiences with American Airlines thanks to an incredible team of people who went above and beyond to make sure I made my flight. I am a recent left below-the-knee amputee (November 2024), and traveling can be challenging, especially when I’m carrying heavy bags. Yesterday, I arrived at the airport at 3:09 PM for a flight scheduled to depart at 3:52 PM. I was behind schedule, stressed, and worried that I wouldn’t make it home to see my family in West Virginia. (My dad is battling Alzheimer’s and my mom just had major dental surgery, so this trip was very important to me.) From the moment I arrived curbside, the American Airlines team stepped up. A gentleman outside helped by pushing both of my 50 lb bags inside when I couldn’t check them curbside. Another staff member quickly got me into a wheelchair and escorted me to the counter. That’s where two incredible women — Tiffani T. and Kay Walker — took over. They immediately assured me: “Mr. Graham, you are going to make it, don’t worry, we’ve got you.” Their efficiency, kindness, and attention to detail were outstanding. They quickly tagged my wheelchair and knee scooter, checked my bags, and moved me through the process seamlessly — all while keeping me calm and confident that I’d make it. Thanks to their teamwork and professionalism, I made my flight against all odds. I landed in Pittsburgh, drove an hour, and was able to be home with my family in Wheeling, WV. It truly felt like a miracle, and I couldn’t have done it without them. Travel can often be stressful, but experiences like this remind me that there are still people in customer service who truly care. American Airlines should be proud to have employees like Tiffani T. and Kay Walker, as well as the gentleman working curbside around 3:09 PM on September 30th. They turned what could have been a missed flight into a moment of gratitude and relief. Thank you, American Airlines team — you helped me get home when it mattered most. — Brad G.

During my interaction, a supervisor named Suzanne outright refused to escalate my issue or allow me to speak with her manager. This refusal to provide basic customer service support is alarming, especially coming from someone in a leadership position. Her dismissive behavior and lack of accountability reflect the worst customer service I have encountered not just from American Airlines, but from any major company. I was treated with disregard and disrespect throughout the entire exchange. It is extremely disappointing to see such behavior tolerated within your customer service operations. This experience has severely undermined my confidence in American Airlines’ commitment to its passengers.

It was an okay trip. American Airlines & Southwest are the worst when it comes to claustrophobic seating. I wish I wouldn't have reserved the window seat. I hate having to ask people to get up so I can use the restroom. Also whose idea was it to put tray tables in that don't lay flat. The super skinny girl next to me couldn't even use her try right because it sticks out to far and hits you in your belly or chest. No tv in the back of your seat & seats are narrow. I had to sit up stiff & hold my left arm up so I wouldn't be fighting the lady next to me for the armrest or using her for one. Barely got a snack on a 4 hour flight. Just nuts or graham crackers so eat before you board or after so you don't have to use their coffin-sized of a bathroom. God bless your ability to wipe yourself correctly if you don't have bow-legs & a 4 inch thigh gap!👀 Dear God I seriously contemplated wearing a diaper if I ever have to fly anything but Delta again. 😫🙏 Felt like the flight attendants were annoyed with being there. There was one attendant lady who was bold in her faith & wasn't afraid to say so as she served everyone respectfully & professionally! I loved that & I commend American Airlines for letting her be herself 💯%
